When Bloodstone was initially introduced in Dota 2, it had a different set of mechanics compared to its current iteration. Initially, it required a Soul Booster, Perseverance, and a Recipe to be crafted. The item's primary function revolved around granting increased health, mana regeneration, and a charge-based system that reduced respawn time upon death on it's earlier versions.
