Strategy
Rocket Barrage does tons of damage when an opponent is isolated.
Keep creep equilibrium close to your tower to have more space to run opponents down with Rocket Barrage.
Gyrocopter has great waveclear early on. Push out waves once you have two points in Flak Cannon and start farming nearby camps.
Ask your teammates to stack for you as you can clear stacks easily once you max out Flak Cannon.
"Hit count" objects like Supernova and Tombstone can be targeted with ease by attacking them and Flakking other heroes down.
Make sure to get {aghanims-scepter} as soon as possible as it improves farming speed and DPS in fights.
Side Gunner can attack even when Gyrocopter is stunned and all attack modifiers work as well.
In teamfights, focus on hitting most of the opponents with Flak Cannon and Call Down.
If in a desperate position, consider purchasing {divine-rapier} as last resort. Works well with Flak Cannon.
Do not rush in with Rocket Barrage every time you stun a hero. You are squishy and easy to kill if you over extend.
Once you pick up {ethereal-blade}, you can burst down pretty much any hero on the map with your item and spell combo.
You can use {force-staff} on your Homing Missile to push it forward and surprise enemy heroes.
Counter Strategy
Rocket Barrage does a lot of damage. Keep distance from Gyrocopter or share the damage with allied units.
Help destroying Homing Missile that is aimed at your teammate.
Gyrocopter farms quickly with Flak Cannon. Gank him with {smoke-of-deceit}, place deep {observer-ward} and block off camps with {sentry-ward}.
Gyrocopter does a lot of magical damage and joins fights early. Magic resistance items are great.
{crimson-guard}, {heavens-halberd} and armor items are great against Gyrocopter's Flak Cannon.
It is easy to reflect Homing Missile back to Gyrocopter with {lotus-orb}.
