Itemization Strategy

Itemized universally in dota with a slight lean on the supports sides, the unique effect it gives makes it easier to give supports a hold if they are a hero without stun also makes them more lethat if they can chain a stun spell. Works also very well with cores as it's an upgrade path for gleipner and gives them a hold everytime they want to engage. An early game item best suited to be a post-laning build.

Heroes with Rod of Atos as Core Item

A core item to have a long range catch for enemy heroes and follow up with Shukuchi to close the gap on them. Also makes you tanky with HP pool and lets you cancel {town-portal-scroll}. Can be upgraded to {gleipnir} later in the game.

A core item that lets you root an enemy hero, making it easier to land both Ice Blast and Cold Feet for guaranteed impact.

A core item to set up your massive burst damage with Mystic Flare on an enemy hero. Also gives you some much needed tankiness with a bigger HP pool. Can be upgraded to {gleipnir} later in the game.
