Strategy

Focus on last hitting and farm your Bracer.

If you cannot pressure on the lane or being pressured, consider creep skipping or pulling enemy creeps to your tower after minute 5 as well as farming neutral camps nearby.

Retaliate works on buildings so consider tanking tower shots if it is safe enough and if you are tanky enough.

Look around the map to help out your teammates to either escape or chase an enemy down.

Once you get Blink Dagger, try to make use of it immediately before the opponents can see it in your inventory.

Make sure your teammates can follow up on your initiation. Centaur doesn't do insane amounts of damage.

After you purchase Blink Dagger, make sure you play around an ally hero that you enable to kill other heroes.

You can try playing behind your allies while they are staying in the frontline and try to bail them from trouble with your Aghanim's Scepter.

You can buy 2-3 ring of protection if your facing hero's that do purely physical damage such as Phantom Assassin , Templar Assassin, Weaver etc.

Counter Strategy

Someone should buy Spirit Vessel against Centaur to deal damage, offset his regeneration and cancel Blink Dagger.

Armor reducing items are great against Centaur.

Items that offset magical damage output from Centaur are good against him.

Keep checking Centaur's items. Be aware of his Blink Dagger timing.

Don't clump up in teamfights for Centaur's Blink into Hoof Stomp initiation.
