Faceless Void stats, abilities and strategy [7.41c]
Can freeze his enemies in time
Time is everything to Faceless Void. He speeds time to dash between locations, manipulates it to dodge attacks, stops it in a large area to devastate his foes, and given enough of it to gather resources, he can make himself unbelievably powerful.

Time Dilation
DAMAGE TYPE: Magical
PIERCES DEBUFF IMMUNITY: No
PASSIVE: No
DISPELLABLE: Yes
Faceless Void envelops nearby enemies with time dilating fields to slow cooldown progression of their abilities. Each enveloped enemy gains one Time Dilation stack when applied, and one stack per ability they have on cooldown. Each stack deals damage per second and slows movement and attack speed. The duration is paused while affected by Chronosphere.
Does not affect item cooldowns.
Number of stacks can change during the effect. Casting an ability will provide a stack if it goes on cooldown. If an ability cooldown ends during Time Dilation, a stack will be removed.

Strategy
Be careful about using Time Walk aggressively on early levels as you leave yourself exposed for a while. Only use it when you have taken substantial damage in the last 2 seconds.
Look around the map and be ready to
Town Portal Scroll in and pick-off an opponent but only when you have Chronosphere ready. This contributes to putting pressure around the map.
Faceless Void is an attack speed hungry hero as damage per second is closely related to the frequency of Time Lock procs. That is why
Mask of Madness and
Mjollnir are often your must have items.
In teamfights, look to trap as many opponents as possible in Chronosphere while leaving allies outside. Avoid including your important ally heroes inside the Chronosphere.
Avoid playing aggressively when Chronosphere is on cooldown and push out lanes instead.
You can tank up and get mobility items if your teammates can provide plenty of damage in Chronosphere.
Mask of Madness enables you to pick off free kills easily with Chronosphere. Look for these opening kills around the map whenever your ultimate is up with Mask of Madness.
If you bought
Battle Fury, look to farm quickly towards your
Aghanim's Scepter so you can constantly go in and out of fights with Time Walk to do damage and control enemy heroes for your team.
Get
Aghanim's Shard after your first few core items to be a nuisance in fights and build up your attack speed and movement speed with Time Dilation on enemy heroes.
Counter Strategy
Cause damage to Faceless Void over time, so he can't heal back all of it from Time Walk.
Maximize damage on Faceless Void after he has used Time Walk.
Faceless Void relies on Chronosphere to be effective and he will feel underwhelming if it is down. Make use of the long cooldown of his ultimate to force a fight or take an objective.
Don't clump up when Chronosphere is up. Save the hero that has been caught or look to interrupt the follow-up damage from Faceless Void's teammates
Time Dilation can be a nuisance to all heroes - so having basic dispels are recommended.
Items like
Aeon Disk,
Ethereal Blade and Aegis are good counters against Chronosphere in the mid to late game. It is advised to keep buyback ready as you might want to use your first life to burn through Faceless Void's ultimate.
You can try to bait out Chronosphere with smart illusion rune usage or
Manta Style.
