Celestial Hammer or Solar Guardian cannot be cast during the combo.

Cleave does not work with this ability.

The hammer pauses for 2 seconds at the destination before flying back to her, leaving a trail of fire that slows enemies. Dawnbreaker can recall the hammer at any time, pulling her towards it so they meet in the middle.


The hammer damages enemies both when thrown and when returning to Dawnbreaker.

Dawnbreaker's Converge movement distance is capped at the ability's cast range.

Starbreaker cannot be cast while the Hammer is out.

Strategy

Dawnbreaker is typically a strong laner. Play aggressively and jump opponents out of position with Celestial Hammer and Starbreaker combo.

Keep an eye on the map to save an ally in trouble with Solar Guardian and turn the fight around. You should be looking to join almost every start of the fight with your ultimate early on.

You can clear waves from safe distance by using Celestial Hammer and hiding in the trees. The creeps will slowly burn to death overtime with the help of your wave.

Play separately from your team, push out lanes and mask your team's smoke moves as you can connect to your team with ultimate. Apply pressure all throughout the map wherever you can.

Once you have {aghanims-scepter}, play aggressively and join almost every fight to get kills across the map.

{aghanims-shard} gives you debuff immunity and better control with Starbreaker. Use it often to escape dangerous scenarios and to nuke enemy heroes.

Scout enemy inventory items look for wards and other items that might be important.

Counter Strategy

Someone should buy a {spirit-vessel} to counter Dawnbreaker's healing

Keep distance from Dawnbreaker so she can't use Starbreaker too often.

Avoid diving enemy heroes as Dawnbreaker can assist them from anywhere on the map with Solar Guardian.

Avoid clumping up against Dawnbreaker's AoE damage and disabling spells.

Items that reduce healing are great against Dawnbreaker's Luminosity and Solar Guardian.

Break effects disallow Dawnbreaker from triggering Luminosity.

Keep track of the cooldown on Dawnbreaker's ultimate and initiate on enemies when you know she can't help.
