Active: Overwhelm

Stuns a target enemy unit for <value>1.6</value> seconds. <br>Pierces Spell Immunity.

Mana: 75

Passive: Bash

Grants melee heroes a 25% chance on hit to stun the target for 1.2 seconds and deal 120 bonus physical damage. Bash chance for ranged heroes is 10%.

Passive: Damage Block

Grants a 60% chance to block 70 damage from incoming attacks on melee heroes, and 35 damage on ranged.

Additional Insights

The stun is melee range.
Does not stack with other bashes, and does not grant bash to Clones and Tempest Doubles.
Multiple sources of damage block do not stack.
The following heroes cannot trigger Bash on this item: Spirit Breaker, Faceless Void, Slardar, and Kez while in Sai mode.

Trivia

Before its current iteration, the Abyssal Blade was initially introduced in Dota as an item called 'Skull Basher' that provided a chance to bash and stun enemies with attacks. Later in the game's development, the Skull Basher was upgraded to the Abyssal Blade, enhancing its stats and adding the active ability 'Overwhelm', which allowed the wielder to blink and deliver a targeted stun to an enemy unit which has then been nerf already.
