Omniknight allows Slark to stick on targets and build up as many Essence Shift stacks as possible, without having to retreat at all potentially. He can give him a Debuff Immunity from most spells and Magic Resistance with Repel, while also protect him from Physical damage with Guardian Angel. Slark likes sticking to his targets with Pounce, making him a great target for Purification. All and all, Omni allows Slark to go fully ham with his heavy defensive kit.

A core Boots upgrade that helps with mana sustain to spam Purification for farming and healing allied heroes. Gets upgraded to Guardian Greaves later in the game.
A core aura item that provides armor and HP sustain to your entire team to group up early and take fights or push for objectives like towers and Roshan. Gets upgraded to Guardian Greaves later in the game.
A core item to improve the healing output of Purification and have a secondary burst of heal for your cores with Magic Wand charges.
Aghanim's Shard significantly increases Purification's healing output, enabling Omniknight to rapidly restore health to allies and turn the tide of battle.
