Vacuum groups enemies up so Sven can cleave them all down with God's Strength and Great Cleave.

Reverse Polarity into Cleave equals instant team wipe. Plus, Empower boosts Sven’s farming and cleave damage even more.

Her root and AoE slow help lock enemies down for Sven to burst, and her aura keeps him topped up on mana for extended fights.

Warlock gives Sven the backup he needs with teamfight presence and Fatal Bonds, amplifying cleave damage massively. Chaotic Offering stuns enemies, giving Sven time to position and burst. Warlock’s healing also helps Sven stay in fights longer. With both ultimates ready, they crush grouped enemies with e

Lina offers ranged nukes and physical burst that follow up Sven’s stuns. Her long-range DPS complements Sven’s close-range dominance. When Sven initiates, Lina can finish off weakened enemies or add enough pressure for a quick wipe. Their lane presence and mid-game damage is overwhelming.

Witch Doctor helps Sven secure kills with Maledict and Death Ward after Sven lands a Storm Hammer. WD’s healing sustain also keeps Sven alive in extended fights. If Sven gets a good jump, WD follows with fatal burst from the backline. Together they provide hard lockdown and explosive damage.

Dazzle complements Sven perfectly with Shallow Grave, allowing him to survive during God Strength. Dazzle’s Weave increases Sven’s physical damage drastically. Sven’s natural tankiness is enhanced by Dazzle’s heals. This combination makes Sven a true raid boss in the mid-to-late game.

Invoker can combo with Sven’s stun by following up with Sun Strike, Chaos Meteor, or Ice Wall. With bonus attack speed from Alacrity, Sven’s physical damage increases significantly. Sven also initiates fights that allow Invoker to position properly. Their synergy is deadly in mid-game snowball scenarios.

Jakiro supports Sven with AoE control through Dual Breath, Ice Path, and Macropyre. When Sven blinks in, Jakiro layers crowd control to ensure enemies can’t escape. His magic damage softens up targets for Sven’s cleave. This pair can zone, push, and control teamfights together very effectively.

Grimstroke enables Sven to double-stun with Soulbind and Storm Hammer, controlling two heroes instantly. His Ink Swell lets Sven charge into fights with a stun ready on arrival. Together, they dominate lanes and scale into teamfights with burst and lockdown. Soulbind combos make Sven even scarier.

Lich helps Sven dominate lanes with Frost Shield, reducing incoming damage and giving Sven the edge in trades. His Chain Frost works well after Sven initiates on grouped enemies. Lich’s slows and control make it easy for Sven to stick to targets. In fights, they layer disables and protection perfectly.

A core Boots upgrade that allows you to toggle between stats for different use. Changing it to AGI will allow you to refill that health and mana you are missing as well as providing more attack speed, toggle to STR to survive longer or potentially in danger, and INT for mana regen. When using consumables, keep your boots on AGI as it lowers your health and mana pool and more will be replenished upon using.

A core item to give you some much needed sustainability through lifesteal and quickly clear creep waves and neutral creep stacks thanks to the great attack speed it provides, which also helps your ultimate God's Strength to quickly tear down enemy heroes.

A core item to quickly close the gap on enemy heroes and burst them down in the Storm Hammer stun duration. Make sure you activate Gods Strength before Blinking into fights to do massive damage with right clicks.

A core item perfect for Sven as he does insane amounts of damage but is susceptible to being kited and disabled. This will prevent the enemies from disabling you so you can stay on top of them with God's Strength and tear them down. In addition it provides decent damage.

A powerful Crystalys upgrade that amplifies Sven’s right-click burst. Its high crit synergy with Great Cleave lets him deal massive damage not just to his target, but to everyone behind it.

Great Cleave and God's Strength cuts through Phantom Lancer's illusions in no time.

Storm Hammer's AoE stun will hit Phantom Lancer and his illusions.

Great Cleave can clear Spiderlings very quickly, and give Sven lot of gold.

Warcry shields Sven and his allies against Broodmother and her Spiderlings.

Great Cleave is very effective against Chaos Knight's illusions.

Storm Hammer's radius can catch all of Chaos Knight's illusions at once, especially after Reality Rift.

Warcry shields Sven and his teammates against Chaos Knight's physical damage output.

Meepo melts to Sven’s cleave and AoE stuns, especially when grouped. Sven's Storm Hammer can disable multiple Meepos, setting up a quick kill. With BKB, Sven ignores Poof damage and focuses one clone at a time. Meepo can’t match Sven’s strength if Sven is even or ahead.

Dark Seer synergizes poorly against Sven because Wall of Replica creates an illusion of him but its of no use since sven can kill it easily, Sven punishes his lack of disables. Sven shrugs off Ion Shell with Warcry and destroys squishy heroes DS relies on. Dark Seer’s combo doesn't stop Sven’s burst when BKB is active. Sven’s direct initiation often catches DS off guard.

Naga Siren struggles against Sven due to cleave damage and God Strength, which clear illusions instantly. Her Song of the Siren can delay but not stop Sven’s power spike. She’s also a slow scaler, and Sven can pressure earlier. Once caught, she dies quickly due to lack of burst resistance.

Lycan is vulnerable to armor reduction and cleave, and his summons melt to Sven’s AoE damage. Sven can also match Lycan’s tempo and tower damage, but with better scaling. BKB Sven isn’t stopped by Lycan’s slows and wolves. Lycan’s physical-only style gets outmatched by Sven’s burst window.

Spectre cannot tank Sven’s God Strength in mid-game fights and dies easily to his burst. Even though she’s tanky, Sven scales faster and stronger during his ult. In early fights, Spectre provides little control, and Sven can jump on her backline first. If Sven gets ahead, he can end games before Spectre peaks.

Anti-Mage gets countered by Sven’s high burst and cleave damage, especially with Storm Hammer and Blink timing. AM needs to farm for long periods, while Sven can punish him with earlier teamfights. Even with Manta, Sven’s physical damage is overwhelming. If caught once without Blink, AM dies instantly.

Puck is a squishy target for Sven’s instant Storm Hammer, and if he gets Orchid or Blink, Puck dies fast. Puck’s Phase Shift and Eul’s don't help against Sven with BKB. Puck’s chip damage doesn’t threaten Sven's tanky frame. Once Sven commits, Puck has to disengage or risk getting one-shot.

Skywrath Mage has no escape or durability, making him a free kill for Sven. Storm Hammer disables him long enough for a quick burst, even without BKB. Sky relies on positioning and spells, both of which are countered by Sven’s jump. Sven's natural strength and gap-close leave Skywrath no room to survive.

Razors high movement speed will kite and Static Link will sap Sven's insane attack damage, and it even goes through Black King Bar.

Mana Shield makes it very hard for Sven to burst her within Storm Hammer's stun duration.

Stone Gaze makes it very difficult for Sven to fight Medusa at any stage of the game.

Berserker's Call prevents Sven from bursting his targets before Axe can interfere. The worst kind of opponent for Sven is one who can stop him from attacking who he wants to, which is exactly what Axe does.

Culling Blade may finish off Sven before he has the chance to lifesteal or run with Warcry. Axe is a very common Blade Mail carrier which will make very short work of a Sven with God's Strength activated.

Slardar shreds Sven's high armor advantage with Corrosive Haze, turning him from a tank into a glass cannon. Slardar’s bash interrupts Sven's movement and combos, making it harder to burst down targets. Once Slardar initiates first, Sven often gets killed before even casting his ult. Vision from Haze also makes Sven’s farming patterns more predictable.

Troll Warlord thrives in long, drawn-out fights, while Sven is all about quick bursts with God Strength. If Troll survives Sven’s combo, he wins the fight almost every time with his attack speed and Battle Trance. Troll also builds Basher and Satanic, making him tanky and hard to kite. Sven's stun is unreliable if Troll gets BKB first.

Templar Assassin is a huge problem for Sven because of her Refraction, which blocks his burst damage and wastes his God Strength window. She can kite Sven using her traps and outrange him while keeping her armor intact. If Sven doesn’t have nullifier , TA can dodge most of his pressure. Her faster farming tempo also outpaces Sven's in many games.

Phantom Assassin is a nightmare if Sven doesn't build Monkey King Bar, since her Blur and evasion allow her to survive his burst. Once PA gets Desolator and BKB, she can outfight Sven with faster crits. Her mobility lets her dodge Warcry's effectiveness and reach Sven’s supports first. If Sven’s combo fails, he becomes easy prey.

Bristleback is simply too tanky for Sven to deal with, especially in prolonged fights. Sven’s physical damage feeds Quill Spray, which returns more punishment the longer the fight goes. Bristle shrugs off burst and builds items like Crimson Guard and Shiva’s, further reducing Sven’s impact. He becomes impossible to kill without magic burst.

Lifestealer is a direct counter due to his Rage, which makes him magic immune and immune to Storm Hammer. He sustains through Sven’s physical burst with Feast and Armlet, outlasting Sven in a man-fight. Lifestealer can also infest into tanky allies to initiate safely. Sven has a small window to act before he’s kited and brought down.

Phoenix completely ruins Sven’s teamfight with Supernova, which requires physical attacks to destroy. Sven can’t hit fast enough during BKB, especially with Phoenix slowing attack speed. The Sun Ray also cuts through Sven’s high HP pool, and Fire Spirits reduce his DPS to nothing. Phoenix is a strong disengage tool when Sven jumps in.

Enchantress takes very little damage from Sven’s right-clicks due to Untouchable, drastically slowing his attack speed. She also uses Nature’s Attendants to heal through his burst. Sven relies on speed to kill squishy heroes, and Enchantress is anything but. With proper positioning, she kites him endlessly with slows and range.

Batrider counters Sven with his Flaming Lasso, which pulls him away from the fight and wastes his ult duration. The sticky napalm stacks reduce Sven’s mobility and make him easy to kill. Even with BKB, Batrider can reposition Sven and throw off his whole initiation. Sven can’t stand and fight when constantly being moved and slowed.
