Power Treads

A core Boots upgrade to improve your mobility and damage output with attack speed and stats. Helps in both farming and lane control. The attack speed gain lets you quickly build up your Bash of the Deep counter.

Echo Sabre

A core item that provides some much needed mana sustain and boosts your right click damage while making you tanky. Lets you activate Bash of the Deep quickly with a double hit. Builds into Harpoon later in the game.

Aghanim's Shard

A core upgrade which saves you time of applying Corrosive Haze on a target you jumped and utilize the Slithereen Crush stun duration for more right clicks. Improves your wave clear speed as armor reduction is applied before Slithereen Crush physical damage.

Blink Dagger

A core item that allows you to initiate fights with Slithereen Crush and have more versatility with Sprint usage. Look to have 3 counts on your Bash of the Deep before Blinking on top of enemy heroes to follow up Slithereen Crush with a Bash on attack.

Black King Bar

A core item to avoid most disables on the enemy team to hit freely in fights. Also improves your right click damage and tankiness through HP pool and magic resistance.

Aghanim's Scepter

A core item that boosts your fighting ability with Slithereen Crush puddle to become more tanky inside it with HP regen, armor, and status resistance while Sprint is active.

Harpoon

A core item to close the gap on an enemy hero and follow up with your lockdown and right click damage to burst them down.

Wind Lace

Gives you movement speed to kite Slardar and stay out of the Slithereen Crush AoE and Bash of the Deep attack range.

Boots of Speed

Gives you movement speed to kite Slardar and stay out of the Slithereen Crush AoE and Bash of the Deep attack range.

Gives you tankiness to take less damage from Slardar's right clicks and Slithereen Crush. Also counters the armor reduction from Corrosive Haze.

Lotus Orb

Lets you dispel Corrosive Haze off yourself or a teammate. Also useful to reflect Corrosive Haze back onto Slardar and burst him with physical damage.

Solar Crest

Gives you or an ally armor and a physical damage barrier to significantly reduce Slardar's burst potential with right clicks and spells.

Heaven's Halberd

Provides evasion and lets you disarm Slardar to prevent him from right clicking freely in fights.

Manta Style

Gives you a dispel against Corrosive Haze.

Hurricane Pike

Lets you kite Slardar by putting some distance between him and yourself with Hurricane Thrust and hit him from range.

Force Staff

Lets you kite Slardar by pushing yourself or an ally away from him.

Ghost Scepter

Lets you kite Slardar by protecting yourself against his right clicks and Slithereen Crush damage in Ethereal form.

Scythe of Vyse

A strong disable to hex Slardar in order to maximize burst damage on him before he is able to open Black King Bar, Sprint and Slithereen Crush.

Ethereal Blade

Lets you save an ally from Slardar's right click and Slithereen Crush damage. Can also be used to burst him down with heavy magic damage as a follow up.

Assault Cuirass

Gives armor to your team to take less damage from Slardar's right clicks and Slithereen Crush to nullify his kill potential.

Butterfly

Gives you armor and evasion to defend yourself against Slardar's right clicks with the tankiness and miss chance.
