Shadow Demon’s Disruption saves TB or sets up kills. His Soul Catcher amps TB’s damage massively, and the illusions he creates benefit from TB’s base stats. Perfect for both defensive and aggressive synergy.

Empower gives TB massive cleave, letting his illusions clear waves and heroes quickly. Reverse Polarity groups enemies for Metamorphosis volleys. Their teamfight timing and power spike align perfectly.

Fissure zones for TB during early game, and Echo Slam punishes anyone diving into his illusions. TB provides the sustained damage that Earthshaker lacks, and together they dominate choke-point fights.

Oracle keeps TB alive with False Promise, letting him tank spells and set up Sunder perfectly. Fortune’s End purges disables, and Purifying Flames enables TB’s full heal even when he’s low on health.

Shallow Grave saves TB before a Sunder, and Shadow Wave heals TB and illusions mid-fight. Dazzle’s armor reduction from Bad Juju lets TB shred through even tanky heroes quickly with illusions.

Omniknight’s Heavenly Grace and Guardian Angel make TB nearly unkillable in teamfights. He can dive with Metamorphosis knowing Omniknight will remove disables and keep him alive through magic bursts.

While Venge is a weak matchup individually, she synergizes well with TB via Wave of Terror for armor reduction and Vengeance Aura for illusion damage amplification. Swap saves TB from bad positions post-Sunder.

Inner Beast attack speed aura buffs TB and his illusions heavily. Primal Roar locks enemies so TB can delete them. Beastmaster also scouts with Hawk, letting TB pick fights with vision advantage.

Jakiro stalls fights with Dual Breath and Ice Path, giving TB time to activate Metamorphosis. Jakiro's AoE slows and control prevent enemies from fleeing while TB deals his huge damage from range.

Phoenix zones out enemies with Supernova while TB hits from range. Sun Ray heals TB mid-fight or melts enemy heroes he’s targeting. Together, they provide great sustain, AoE, and teamfight presence.

Terrorblade’s illusions pierce through Refraction instantly with high attack speed. TA struggles against armor-stacking heroes and illusion spam, and she lacks reliable AoE to deal with his illusions once Manta is online.

Though Slardar applies Corrosive Haze Terrorblade has high armor, Terrorblade can kite him with illusions and ranged attacks. Sunder turns fights even through burst. Once Terrorblade has armor items and Manta, Slardar can’t burst him fast enough.

Terrorblade thrives in long-range engagements. Once he gets Black King Bar, Viper's damage becomes negligible. Terrorblade also farms faster and outscales him in late-game scenarios with superior tower damage and illusions.

Pango can’t effectively clear illusions unless extremely farmed. His Rolling Thunder and Swashbuckle are physical, but Terrorblade's armor is too high. Once caught, Pango dies quickly, especially post-BKB on TB.

Lycan’s units can’t deal with TB’s Conjure Image spam. Terrorblade’s armor and Metamorphosis shred Lycan’s low-armor heroes and summons. TB also thrives in 5v5 fights where Lycan’s pickoff style is less effective.

Terrorblade out-scales DP and survives Exorcism with armor and healing. Once DP's spells are down, TB's illusions overrun her. Sunder ensures TB survives her ult’s full duration while dealing damage constantly.

Shaman has no escape and gets melted by TB’s illusions. Hex or Shackles may catch TB, but illusions or Manta Style can kill shaman. TB’s Metamorphosis outranges Shaman and deletes Mass Serpent Wards easily.

Dragon Knight’s tanky, slow style is vulnerable to TB’s illusion damage. TB ignores DK’s armor by overwhelming him with numbers and Reflection. In late game, TB pushes faster and hits harder than DK can handle.

Venge has low armor and poor illusion clear. Her Wave of Terror and Magic Missile aren’t enough to stop TB from pushing and taking over teamfights. Even Nether Swap usually just delays TB’s impact briefly.

Razor’s Static Link is countered by TB’s illusions — even if TB is drained, his illusions continue to deal high damage. With Manta, Sunder, and positioning, TB turns Razor’s aggression into a free kill.

Wall of Replica and Normal Punch (Aghanim's Scepter Upgrade) can create multiple Illusions of TB to do devastating amounts of damage to his own team as he tends to build heavy stat items to improve his own Mirror Image Illusions' damage and durability. The Illusions DS creates inherit Metamorphosis if it was active at the moment of creating the Illusion. In lane, TB struggles versus Ion Shell as he is a low HP but high Armor melee hero, that lacks wave clear. Surge is amazing at both disengaging and closing the gap on TB as Conjure Image's slow does not work during it.

Axe is the hardest counter to TB. He clears illusions with Battle Hunger and Counter Helix, locks TB with Berserker’s Call, and bursts him down before Sunder with Culling Blade. His toolkit punishes illusion-based heroes hard.

PL overwhelms TB with illusions. TB can't tell the real PL apart, and Reflection isn’t useful against illusions. PL also has natural Diffusal Blade to burn TB’s mana, making Sunder risky or impossible to use.

Tinker spams lasers to wipe illusions from afar. TB can’t reach or pressure him easily without support, and Laser's Blind heavily cripples TB’s right-click DPS. Tinker thrives against illusion carries like TB.

Winter’s Curse can turn TB’s illusions against him, dealing massive damage to his teammates. She stalls pushes with Splinter Blast and zones TB out with Arctic Burn. Wyvern punishes TB's clumping and illusions.

Keeper's Illuminate clears illusions from distance, and Blinding Light makes TB miss attacks during Metamorphosis. His high mobility and sustain keep teammates safe while TB struggles to lock anyone down.

Primal Split removes TB from the fight temporarily with Cyclone. Brew’s split units also ignore TB’s illusions and can delay long enough to waste Metamorphosis duration. TB can't manfight the brewlings effectively.

Chain Frost shreds TB and his illusions during pushes or teamfights. Frost Shield slows TB and blocks a chunk of right-click damage. TB’s low early mobility and grouping style make him very vulnerable to Lich’s kit.

Puck kites TB endlessly. Waning Rift silences him to prevent Sunder, and Dream Coil punishes his movement. TB has no way to reliably hit or lock down Puck, making her an annoying lane and fight threat.

Chaotic Offering drops through BKB and stuns TB mid-Sunder. Fatal Bonds punishes TB’s illusions by spreading damage. Warlock’s sustain and teamfight scaling delay TB’s timing and let his team punish TB’s grouping.
