Amassing many auras can supercharge your hero lineup. Vengeance Aura is one such aura.

Nether Swap can save Drow Ranger, who is generally a squishy core.

Maxing Wave of Terror gives -6 armor on foes, supercharging your attacks even more.

Having a tanky sustainable hero like Mars infront of Drow Ranger is a great tactic as she can dish out a lot of damage while staying behind.

Having a tanky sustainable hero like Centaur infront of Drow Ranger is a great tactic as she can dish out a lot of damage while staying behind. Stampede can bail you out of trouble as well.

Ogre Magi can Bloodlust Drow, boosting her attack speed and movement speed, which helps her dish out more damage and kite enemies better. At the same time, Ogre’s natural tankiness and high health pool let him absorb damage and protect Drow in fights, giving her space to stay safe and deal damage from the backline.

Drow and Winter Wyvern make a strong duo because Winter Wyvern’s Cold Embrace can protect Drow from burst damage, allowing her to stay alive longer in fights and keep dealing damage. Winter’s Arctic Burn slows enemies, making it easier for Drow to kite and land her attacks. Additionally, Winter Wyvern’s strong crowd control and healing support help Drow maintain positioning and pressure in team fights.

Drow and Tusk work well together because Tusk’s strong initiation and crowd control can lock down enemies, giving Drow the space to safely deal damage from a distance. Tusk’s Snowball can protect Drow or initiate fights, while his Ice Shards block enemy escapes, making it easier for Drow to land her attacks and Gust silence. Their combination of lockdown and damage helps control fights and pick off key targets efficiently.

Drow and Clockwerk pair effectively because Clockwerk’s Hookshot and Power Cogs trap enemies, forcing them into Drow’s attack range. This setup makes it easy for Drow to deal sustained damage while enemies struggle to escape. Clockwerk’s initiation and lockdown create openings for Drow to position safely and maximize her precision aura, turning fights in their favor.

Drow and Undying work well together because Undying’s Decay reduces enemies’ strength, lowering their damage and making them easier for Drow to kill. Undying’s Tombstone creates chaos in fights, drawing attention and disrupting enemies so Drow can safely deal damage from afar. The combination of Undying’s tankiness and crowd control with Drow’s high ranged damage helps dominate team fights and control the battlefield.

Drow and Dark Willow complement each other well because Dark Willow’s strong crowd control, like Bramble Maze and Terrorize, locks down enemies and sets up easy targets for Drow to finish off with her high ranged damage. Dark Willow’s magical burst and disables help protect Drow from aggressive initiations.

Jakiro and Drow work well together because Jakiro’s area control and damage-over-time spells like Dual Breath and Macropyre can zone enemies and soften them up for Drow to finish off with her powerful ranged attacks. Jakiro’s slows make it harder for enemies to escape, allowing Drow to kite and position safely. Their combination of strong crowd control and sustained damage makes teamfights much easier to win.

Drow Rangers's Aghanim's Scpeter reduces Chemical Rage's healing significantly, which is Alch's main defensive tool. She is able to provide a strong consistent slow on Alch preventing him from both attacking and retreating and does more than enough damage to kill him.

Terrorblade's high base armor and agility items makes him very vulnerable to Marksmanship.

Conjure Image will be destroyed very quickly due to Marksmanship.

Attribute Shift (Strength Gain) may not be quick enough to fend off an attacking Drow Ranger.

Morphling likes to sit on low health with high agility, something that Drow Ranger does not particularly care for because her Markmanship's procs pierce base armor.

Morph is a similar story, none of Drow Ranger's spells are particularly good against her

Drow works well against Anti-Mage because her high ranged damage and Gust silence can prevent him from blinking freely and casting spells in fights. Since Anti-Mage relies on mobility and spell usage to survive, Drow’s control and sustained damage make it harder for him to farm and fight effectively.

Drow is strong against Weaver because her silence from Gust stops Weaver from using Shukuchi or timelapse to escape or dodge attacks. Her high ranged damage help burn Weaver down quickly before he can react.

Drow can dominate Legion Commander in lane by using her superior ranged harassment and Frost Arrows to constantly pressure Legion and limit her ability to farm safely. By keeping Legion low on health and forced to play defensively, Drow reduces Legion’s ability to reach her key mid and late-game power spikes. This early lane control can significantly minimize Legion’s impact in team fights later on.

Drow is effective against Meepo because her Gust silence can stop him from casting Poof to quickly escape or join his other clones. This allows Drow to isolate and focus down a single Meepo easily. Her high ranged damage and Frost Arrows also help chip away at Meepo’s health, making it hard for him to survive prolonged fights or split push safely.

Drow has an advantage against Pangolier because her Aghanim’s Shard makes her immune to damage from his Rolling Thunder when he tries to roll into her. This safety lets her avoid burst damage and crowd control from Pango’s initiation, allowing her to stay in fights and deal damage without being easily disrupted.

Drow is effective against Omniknight because her high damage help burn down Omniknight and his allies quickly before he can react. Her Gust silence interrupts Omniknight’s spells like Purification and Guardian Angel, limiting his ability to heal or save teammates. This makes it harder for Omniknight to support his team effectively in fights.

Drow is strong against Clinkz because her silence from Gust stops him from using his spells to escape or burst her down. Her high damage helps bring Clinkz down before he can reposition. Since Clinkz relies on mobility and burst, Drow’s control and sustained damage make it difficult for him to survive and fight effectively.

Time Walk can be used to close the distance within Drow Ranger, hindering her Marksmanship bonus.

Faceless Void can also lock down Drow Ranger with Chronosphere before she has the chance to retaliate due to her low health pool.

Flux along with Spark Wraith allows Arc Warden to quickly burst down Drow Ranger due to her low health.

Magnetic Field will be a big nuisance while pushing towers against Arc.

However, Drow Ranger can bypass Magnetic Field's evasion bonus thanks to Marksmanship but only while hitting heroes.

Drow Ranger cant deal with illusion heroes naturally so Chaos Knights Phantasm will be a big problem as well as Reality Rift being able to pull you in closer and disabling your Markmanship.

A well-timed Dark Pact can dispel Frost Arrows and Gust, letting Slark engage and escape freely.

Essence Shift is very detrimental for Drow Ranger as the loss of agility means that Marksmanship will also suffer from getting weakened.

Shadow Dance lets Slark quickly close the gap and deal heavy damage without giving Drow Ranger a chance to retaliate.

Pounce counteracts Frost Arrows's slow, and also allows Slark easily pin Drow Ranger down or flee from her.

Depth Shroud from Aghanim's Shard will allow Slark to save both, himself and his allies and will also allow them to freely fight back against Drow Ranger without her noticing them.

Others

Earth Spirit’s powerful initiation and disables quickly close that gap. Earth Spirit’s Boulder Smash and Rolling Boulder can stun and silence Drow, disrupting her attacks and forcing her to retreat. Additionally, Earth Spirit’s ability to control terrain and displace heroes makes it hard for Drow to find safe spots to deal damage, limiting her effectiveness in fights.

Drow struggles against Primal Beast because he is a tanky, melee initiator who can easily close the gap on her and disrupt her positioning. His high burst damage and disables prevent Drow from staying at a safe distance to deal damage. Primal Beast’s strength and crowd control make it difficult for Drow to kite or escape, and his durability allows him to survive her attacks while locking her down early in fights.

Zeus is effective against Drow because his high magical burst damage can quickly punish her relatively low magic resistance and fragile health pool. His Lightning Bolt and Arc Lightning reveal invisible heroes like Drow when she uses shadow blade, preventing her from safely initiating or escaping. Additionally, Zeus’s ultimate, Thundergod’s Wrath, can finish off fleeing enemies, making it hard for Drow to survive team fights or pickoffs.

Drow struggles against Bloodseeker because his high mobility and burst damage can quickly close the gap and punish her low health pool. Bloodseeker’s Thirst lets him track and chase her even when she tries to escape, while his Blood Rite silence can prevent her from casting Gust to control fights. His aggressive playstyle and healing from damage make it hard for Drow to stay safe and farm effectively.

Drow struggles against Mars because his tankiness and crowd control make it hard for her to find safe angles to deal damage. Mars’ Bulwark blocks Drow’s ranged attacks, reducing her damage output significantly. His Arena of Blood traps her and her team, limiting mobility and forcing close-quarters fights where Drow is vulnerable. Mars’ ability to initiate and control fights disrupts Drow’s positioning and prevents her from kiting effectively.

Muerta’s Pierce the Veil increases her attack speed and damage making her immune to drow right clicks, Muerta’s ultimate can overwhelm Drow’s team, disrupting positioning and forcing fights that favor Muerta’s aggression.
