Beastmaster's Inner Fire aura boosts Monkey King's attack speed to build up Jingu Mastery stacks quickly while Primal Roar keeps an enemy hero locked down in place. Monkey King also isn't comfortable front lining and pushing towers for the team, and Beastmaster covers this weakness well by standing in front and hitting towers.

Crystal Maiden's lockdown and movement speed slow through her spells keeps enemy heroes in range for Monkey King to hit them and build up Jingu Mastery stacks, which leads to easy kills in the laning stage. Throughout the game, Arcane Aura also boosts Monkey King's mana regen, which drastically improves his farming speed with Primal Spring and Boundless Strike.

Dark Seer's Vacuum is the perfect setup to clump up enemy heroes for Monkey King to follow up with his Boundless Strike stun and keep them inside his Wukong's Command ring. The Surge movement speed buff also helps Monkey King stay on top of enemy heroes to build up Jingu Mastery stacks, while Ion Shell is always useful on a melee hero like Monkey King to do AoE damage, especially during the laning stage.

Monkey King takes the utmost advantage of Grimstroke's Ink Swell when jumping in with Primal Spring to build up Jingu Mastery stacks with the added movement speed and stun enemy heroes at the end of it. Grimstroke's Soulbind also keep a couple of enemy heroes bound together in close proximity, which can possible keep them inside the Wukong's Command ring.

Monkey King's Tree Dance lets him move across the map quickly while staying hidden to find enemy heroes and provide vision for the team. Invoker makes great use of the vision advantage to land his spell combo to kill enemy heroes stunned by Boundless Strike, and even enables pickoffs for Monkey King with his global Sun Strike.

Jakiro's lockdown and movement speed slow through his spells keeps enemy heroes in range for Monkey King to hit them and build up Jingu Mastery stacks, which leads to easy kills in the laning stage. Jakiro's massive AoE magic damage also goes well with Monkey King's physical damage in teamfights. Jakiro also helps push towers from range with Liquid Fire, which helps Monkey King not have to front line and hit towers himself every time.

Monkey King takes the utmost advantage of Lich's Frost Shield when jumping in with Primal Spring to build up Jingu Mastery stacks with the movement speed slow while remaining safe from the damage reduction. Lich's Sinister Gaze also helps lockdown enemy heroes and keep them inside Monkey King's attack range. Lich's massive AoE magic damage also goes well with Monkey King's physical damage in teamfights.

Being a melee hero, Monkey King benefits heavily from Magnus' Empower buff to massively increase his physical damage output while fighting and farming. Magnus' Reverse Polarity can also lock down a number of enemy heroes in place inside the Wukong's Command ring and burst them down under the follow up Boundless Strike stun.

Monkey King's Boundless Strike helps set up Spear of Mars on an enemy hero, which lets both Mars and Monkey King get close and dish out their massive damage in close range. Mars' Arena of Blood also keeps enemy heroes trapped inside, which is the perfect setup for Wukong's Command to deal massive damage to all heroes in the AoE.

The Teleportation from Nature's Prophet gives him a global presence to join Monkey King anywhere on the map as he finds enemy heroes with Tree Dance while staying hidden on top of trees. This enables both heroes to pick off enemy heroes with their collective damage and lockdown. Monkey King can also make use of Sprout trees to have more mobility with Tree Dance.

Oracle's Fortune's End pairs well with Monkey King's Primal Spring initiation to root enemy heroes around him when he jumps on top of enemy heroes. The added lockdown helps Monkey King build up Jingu Mastery stacks without committing Boundless Strike every time. Monkey King also gets to play much more aggressively in fights with the False Promise save behind him, and ensures he gets to use Wukong's Command every time.

Puck's mobility with Illusory Orb pairs well with Monkey King's Primal Spring to jump enemy heroes together and burst them down with the collective damage during the follow up Boundless Strike stun. Puck's Dream Coil also leashes enemy heroes in a small area, which is the perfect setup for Wukong's Command to burst down any heroes who stay or stun themselves trying to run away.

Spectre's Shadow Step gives her a global presence to join Monkey King anywhere on the map as he finds enemy heroes with Tree Dance while staying hidden on top of trees. This enables both heroes to pick off enemy heroes with their collective damage during Monkey King's stun from Boundless Strike.

Spirit Breaker's Charge of Darkness gives him a global presence to join Monkey King anywhere on the map as he finds enemy heroes with Tree Dance while staying hidden on top of trees. This enables both heroes to pick off enemy heroes with their collective damage and lockdown.

Treant Protector's movement speed slow from Leech Seed and Nature's Grasp helps Monkey King stay on top of enemy heroes to build up Jingu Mastery stacks to dish out massive damage in the laning stage. Later in the game, Overgrowth roots multiple enemy heroes in place, which is the perfect setup for Wukong's Command to burst down all of them at the same time.

Monkey King's dominant physical damage and armor gain being an agility hero gives him the upper hand over Alchemist in a 1v1 matchup. As the game progresses, Monkey King continues to scale better with items while Wukong's Command counters the armor reduction from Acid Spray. Monkey King also farms decently well to not fall too far behind Alchemist's high rate of farm.

Monkey King gets to easily build up Jingu Mastery stacks on an immobile Axe in the laning stage. Monkey King's abnormally high attack range also keeps him relatively safe from Counter Helix damage. Once Axe gets his Blink Dagger and Blade Mail, Monkey King still gets to stay alive when jumped because of the lifesteal from Jingu Mastery when attacking him.

Monkey King's mobility with Tree Dance and Primal Spring lets him find and jump a squishy Drow Ranger, who struggles to push him away even with Gust. Once Monkey King gets Aghanim's Shard, he can also use Boundless Strike to get on top of Drow Ranger while stunning her at the same time. The armor gain from Wukong's Command also negates a lot of Drow Ranger's physical damage.

Monkey King forces Faceless Void to use Chronosphere on him every fight because of the counter potential of Wukong's Command as the soldiers from the ultimate are not affected by Chronosphere and keep attacking anyone in their range. Once Monkey King gets Aghanim's Scepter, the soldiers spawn around him to turn the fight on Faceless Void every time during Chronosphere.

Monkey King gets to easily build up Jingu Mastery stacks on an immobile Legion Commander in the laning stage to dish out more damage than her, even when she uses Overwhelming Odds. Once Legion Commander gets his Blink Dagger and Blade Mail, Monkey King still gets to stay alive, and even win, during Duel because of the lifesteal from Jingu Mastery when attacking her.

Monkey King's AoE damage and lockdown keeps control of all Meepo clones at the same time. The lifesteal and damage from Jingu Mastery stacks also help Monkey King stay alive and dish out massive damage against one of the Meepo clones to burst him down. Wukong's Command also helps deal with all Meepo clones together while making Monkey King tanky with armor.

Monkey King's mobility with Tree Dance and Primal Spring lets him find and jump a squishy Nature's Prophet, who struggles to get away with Sprout because of Tree Dance. The Boundless Strike stun also helps stop the Teleportation from Nature's Prophet and burst him down before he gets away. The armor gain from Wukong's Command also negates a lot of physical damage dished out by Nature's Prophet.

Monkey King cares little for the debuff immunity from Omniknight's Repel as most of his damage is physical. During Guardian Angel, Monkey King can still hit enemy heroes to build up Jingu Mastery stacks and do massive damage once the Omniknight ultimate expires. Monkey King's abnormally high attack range also keeps him away from Purification damage while right clicking.

Pudge's Meat Shield does little to negate the massive burst damage done by Monkey King's Boundless Strike and Primal Spring. Monkey King also gets to build up Jingu Mastery stacks easily by attacking an immobile Pudge and burst him down because of his low armor. Boundless Strike also lets Monkey King stop the Dismember channel.

Monkey King's mobility with Tree Dance and Primal Spring lets him find and jump a squishy Shadow Fiend, who struggles to get away from him or fight back at melee range. The Boundless Strike stun also stops the Requiem of Souls channel to prevent counter play. The armor gain from Wukong's Command also negates a lot of Shadow Fiend's physical damage.

Monkey King's mobility with Tree Dance and Primal Spring lets him find and jump a squishy Silencer, who struggles to get away from him because of his immobility. Monkey King can still build up Jingu Mastery stacks when silenced by Global Silence and still dish out massive physical damage.

Monkey King's mobility with Tree Dance and Primal Spring lets him find and jump a squishy Silencer, who struggles to get away from him because of his immobility. Monkey King can still build up Jingu Mastery stacks when silenced by Ancient Seal, as well as survive the Mystic Flare burst damage because of the lifesteal.

Monkey King gets to easily build up Jingu Mastery stacks on an immobile Underlord in the laning stage. Firestorm's percentage damage also does little to Monkey King in comparison, who can withstand the damage with lifesteal from Jingu Mastery. The damage gain from Jingu Mastery also ignores the damage reduction from Atrophy Aura.

Monkey King's mobility with Tree Dance and Primal Spring lets him find and jump a squishy Witch Doctor, who struggles to get away from him with the short Paralyzing Cask stun on a single target. The Boundless Strike stun also stops the Death Ward channel, and Monkey King can also fight through the damage to burst down Witch Doctor with the lifesteal from Jingu Mastery.

Batrider's Firefly lets him break trees and stun Monkey King if he is perched on top of a broken tree with Tree Dance. Batrider can also follow and chase down Monkey King during Firefly when he tries to use the trees to get away. Batrider's Flaming Lasso and the displacement from Flamebreak also lets him bring Monkey King outside the Wukong's Command ring, which stops his ultimate.

Beastmaster's Wild Axes lets him cut down trees to stun Monkey King if he is perched on top of a broken tree with Tree Dance. Monkey King also struggles to run down Beastmaster because of the Hawk root and Boar movement speed slow on attacks. Later in the game, Beastmaster can also burst down Monkey King every time during his long duration lockdown with Primal Roar.

Bounty Hunter's Track lets him maintain vision of Monkey King when he is perched on top of trees with Tree Dance, effectively countering his ability to stay hidden in tree lines. A casual Quelling Blade can also cut down Monkey King's tree from the Shadow Walk invisibility and stun him if he is not careful.

Enchantress can dispel Monkey King's Jingu Mastery stacks every time with Enchant, which massively reduces his damage and survivability in fights. With levels in Untouchable, Monkey King also struggles to right click Enchantress to build up Jingu Mastery stacks. Enchantress can also burst down Monkey King inside the Wukong's Command ring with the high damage from Impetus that ignores his high armor.

Enigma's Midnight Pulse lets him cut down a bunch of trees to stun Monkey King if he is perched on top of a broken tree with Tree Dance. This also counters his mobility quite a bit during the laning stage. The periodic stun from Malefice also makes it difficult for Monkey King to cast a timely Wukong's Command.

Keeper of the Light's Blinding Light push can easily bring Monkey King out of his Wukong's Command ring, which ends his ultimate. Blinding Light also pushes Monkey King off of trees, and can also be used to push him away when he jumps in with Primal Spring and tries to build up Jingu Mastery stacks. The Solar Bind magic resistance reduction can also get Monkey King bursted inside the Wukong's Command ring.

Magnus' Skewer and the slight displacement from Reverse Polarity can easily bring Monkey King out of his Wukong's Command ring, which ends his ultimate. Skewer also breaks trees, which can stun Monkey King if he is perched on top of a broken tree with Tree Dance. Shockwave also makes Monkey King step down if he is perched on a tree, while also putting Tree Dance on cooldown.

Mars' Spear of Mars and the slight displacement from God's Rebuke can easily bring Monkey King out of his Wukong's Command ring, which ends his ultimate. Arena of Blood also breaks trees in a massive radius, even outside its AoE, which can be used to find and stun Monkey King when he is perched on top of a tree. Mars also takes reduced damage from Monkey King's right clicks when facing him because of Bulwark.

Muerta's Pierce the Veil makes her immune to physical damage, and lets her counter Monkey King's physical damage. Pierce the Veil also does magical damage, which completely ignores Monkey King's armor gain inside Wukong's Command to burst him down with right clicks. Muerta's Dead Shot also breaks trees on the initial target to stun Monkey King when he is perched on a tree, and the fear makes him step down from the tree.

Phantom Assassin's evasion from her innate dodges a lot of Monkey King's attacks to prevent him from building up Jingu Mastery stacks. Phantom Assassin can also jump Monkey King with Phantom Strike, and fight him inside Wukong's Command as her crit damage with Coup de Grace overwhelms Monkey King, despite his high armor.

Phoenix's Supernova breaks trees in a massive radius, which can be used to find and stun Monkey King when he is perched on top of a tree. Icarus Dive also breaks trees to stun Monkey King in the same way. The damage over time from Phoenix's abilities also puts Tree Dance on cooldown for a lengthy duration, preventing him from using the spell to get in fights or escape.

Queen of Pain's damage with her spells easily kills Monkey King, even inside Wukong's Command, as most of her damage is pure and magical. The push from Sonic Wave can also push Monkey King outside the Wukong's Command ring, which ends his ultimate. Queen of Pain can also jump away from Monkey King with Blink when he jumps her with Primal Spring. Shadow Strike also puts Tree Dance on cooldown for a lengthy duration.

Riki's mobility with Blink Strike and Tricks of the Trade easily lets him dodge the damage from Monkey King's Primal Spring and Boundless Strike. The same spells also let Riki get away and prevent the buildup of Jingu Mastery stacks. Once Riki becomes invisible with Cloak and Dagger, he can wait for Monkey King on creep waves, and silence him inside Smoke Screen to prevent him from getting away, which leads to easy kills.

Storm Spirit's mobility with Ball Lightning makes him extremely difficult to target with the Boundless Strike stun or the Primal Spring damage. The high mobility also lets Storm Spirit jump Monkey King inside Wukong's Command and burst him down with his magical damage. Ball Lightning also breaks trees, which can stun Monkey King if he is perched on top of a broken tree with Tree Dance.

Sven provides armor to his entire team with Warcry to negate a lot of Monkey King's dominant physical damage. The same spell also provides movement speed to Sven's team to run and get outside the Wukong's Command ring. Once Sven gets Revenant's Brooch, his damage gain from God's Strength can easily overwhelm Monkey King inside Wukong's Command, despite his armor gain.

Blast Off! destroys trees and can stun Monkey King while he is perched on a tree with Tree Dance. Techies likes to hide Proximity Mines in tree lines, which can trigger when Monkey King jumps across trees to move around, giving away his position and damaging him in the process as he can't immediately attack them atop a tree.

All of Timbersaw's active abilities break trees, which can stun Monkey King if he is perched on top of a broken tree with Tree Dance. Timbersaw also does pure damage, which ignores Monkey King's high armor inside Wukong's Command to burst him down. Reactive Armor also helps reduce Monkey King's dominant physical damage.

Vengeful Spirit's Nether Swap can easily displace Monkey King outside his Wukong's Command ring, which ends his ultimate. The vision provided by Wave of Terror also lets Vengeful Spirit find Monkey King when he is perched on top of a tree with Tree Dance. The Magic Missile stun also helps fend off Monkey King when he jumps Vengeful Spirit with Primal Spring.

Viper's Viper Strike can break Monkey King, preventing him from building up Jingu Mastery stacks in the duration of the spell. This massively reduces his damage and survivability in fights. Viper's damage over time with his active and passive abilities put Tree Dance on cooldown for a length duration, which counters Monkey King's ability to get into fights or escape.

Windranger's Powershot breaks trees, which can stun Monkey King if he is perched on top of a broken tree with Tree Dance. Shackleshot becomes easier to land on Monkey King as he is usually in and around tree lines to use Tree Dance. Windranger also completely evades Monkey King's right clicks during Windrun, preventing him from building Jingu Mastery stacks, and lets her run at him even inside the Wukong's Command ring.
