Templar Assassin lacks any form of hard disables. Slardar is a good initiator with an AoE stun that deals physical damage. This allows him to initiate for her and deal high damage against groups of enemies with her Psi Blades. In addition, Templar Assassin relies solely on doing burst physical damage, so Slardar's Corrosive Haze will significantly increases her damage output (which can then be spilled onto other targets via Psi Blades).
Vengeance Aura can improve Templar Assassin attack damage. Early-game, she can set up kills with Magic Missile, further reduce enemy's armor with Wave of Terror, and, if necessary, use Nether Swap on Templar Assassin to allow her escape from a sticky situation and potentially save her life.
Others
Snapfire’s Cookie gives Templar Assassin mobility in fights, especially pre-Blink. Mortimer Kisses and Psionic Traps offer huge long-range teamfight control. They both dominate skirmishes and tower pushes with strong AoE presence.
Io tethers Templar Assassin, sustaining her through fights, especially when diving backlines.
Relocate ganks with her burst guarantee kills. Io lets Templar Assassin fight more often and keep Refraction up longer with heals.

Phoenix's Supernova zones enemies, allowing Templar Assassin to safely dive and pick off targets. Fire Spirits weaken enemy attack speed, protecting her while Refraction cools down. Both heroes excel in chaotic fights with traps and AoE control.
Hoof Stomp sets up easy Psionic Trap bursts or Meld strikes. Stampede gives Templar Assassin chase potential and escape from bad positioning. They both benefit from high tempo, midgame teamfights.
Hex and Impale give Templar Assassin guaranteed kill windows. Finger of Death finishes off any survivors after her burst. Lion’s disables help her stay alive through BKB timings.
Dispose throws enemies into Psionic Trap or Meld kill zone. Rebound helps Templar Assassin reposition or engage more aggressively. Marci's buffed attack speed and move speed amplify her dueling potential.

A core Boots upgrade to improve your mobility and damage output with attack speed and stats to farm much faster. Also lets you conserve mana through stats toggling.
A core item to increase your right click damage and apply minus armor on every hit. It goes great with the minus armor that Meld provides and the additional damage it provides. Lets you burst down enemy heroes, take towers and Roshan much faster.
A core mobility item to quickly close the gap on enemy heroes and follow up with your Meld strike and Refraction right clicks to burst them down. Also lets you find better angles to hit multiple heroes in teamfights with Psi Blades spill.
A core item to avoid most disables and silences on the enemy team to get Refraction off and hit freely in fights. Also improves your right click damage and tankiness through HP pool and magic resistance.
A core item that increases your attack range to hit from further away. Also increases the range on your Psi Blades spill while improving your damage output and tankiness through stats. Builds into Hurricane Pike later in the game.

Templar Assassin can melt Night Stalker before he gets on top of her, especially before BKB. Psionic Traps slow Night Stalker, ruining his chase during Night. Refraction keeps her alive if he doesn't have silence follow-up.
Templar Assassin kites Ursa with traps and outranges him hard in fights. Refraction blocks most of Ursa's early damage in lane and fights. She can solo Roshan faster and earlier than Ursa.
Low armor makes Earthshaker an easy target for Meld criticals. Templar Assassin’s traps scout Earthshaker hiding for Blink Echo, preventing surprise ultimates.
Templar Assassin bursts Oracle before he can cast False Promise. Psionic Traps remove Oracle’s movement options. Even if saved, her burst kills targets after the save ends.

Huskar's burn damage from Burning Spear is incredibly strong against Templar Assassin as it completely cancels out her Refraction from the burning over time which results in making her very vulnerable to ganks and harassments, and in turn forcing her out of the lane. Huskar often buys Heaven's Halberd.
The damage over time from Viper's Poison Attack and Viper Strike rapidly wear down Refraction charges, allowing Templar Assassin to be damaged. Additionally, Corrosive Skin causes her attacks to apply damage overtime on her as well.
Phantom Lancer's illusions destroy Refraction charges very quickly.
Diffusal Blade, his core item, drains Templar Assassin's small mana pool, rendering her unable to save herself with Meld.
Naga’s illusions burn through Refraction instantly, removing TA's key defense. Templar Assassin struggles to clear illusions efficiently and gets overwhelmed in prolonged fights. Song of the Siren can reset fights or catch TA before she gets a kill.
Sticky Napalm ruins her mobility and melts Refraction charges rapidly. Flaming Lasso completely removes her from fights, especially pre-BKB. Batrider also breaks Meld positioning and traps with Firefly vision.
