In combination with Corrosive Haze, Visage's Familiars will do an incredible amount of damage and even take Roshan super early.
In combination with Beastmaster's summons and Inner Beast, Visage's Familiars can become very powerful. Also Beastmaster's ultimate is a fine lockdown for Familiars to deal damage and then stun further.
Lifestealer can Infest Visage's Familiars.
Visage synergizes well with Keeper of the Light because Chakra Magic lets him cast more Soul Assumptions and Grave Chill, accelerating his damage output. Illuminate softens up enemies for Visage to finish with burst. Keeper’s global recall can bring Visage to objectives quickly. Their combined vision and push potential make them strong at controlling tempo and jungle.
Visage is good with Snapfire since Mortimer Kisses and Soul Assumption together deal massive long-range magical burst. Visage’s Familiars keep enemies stunned in place, ensuring Snapfire lands her ultimate. Snapfire’s Cookie can also reposition Visage or help him initiate with a Familiar dive. Together, they form a strong backline burst combo.
Visage works well with Tusk because Tusk’s Snowball and Tag Team let Visage close the distance and apply burst before enemies react. Tusk’s initiation gives Visage a setup for follow-up Familiar stuns. Visage benefits from the chaos Tusk creates in teamfights. They both excel in skirmishes and tower dives during mid-game.
Visage pairs strongly with Vengeful Spirit due to the damage aura, armor reduction from Wave of Terror, and ability to swap enemies into Familiar stuns. Vengeful Spirit’s wave clears waves to enable early pushing. Visage thrives with minus armor strategies, and Vengeful’s kit enables that. They can also save each other when focusing objectives.
Visage works well with Grimstroke as Soulbind allows double Grave Chill or double Familiar stuns. Ink Swell on Visage or his Familiars gives strong follow-up disable. They synergize well in lane due to nukes and high aggression. The combo becomes oppressive with levels and can destroy backlines.
Visage is a strong partner for Undying because Undying dominates lanes with Decay and zone control, allowing Visage to farm safely. Tombstone and Familiars together overwhelm enemies in early skirmishes. Soul Assumption charges quickly with constant Decay spam. Their combined durability makes them hard to push out of lane.

Familiars can scout for Clockwerk's location allowing Visage to dodge or block Hookshot attempts.
The Familiars Stone Form's stun duration may prevent Puck from using escape abilities.
Visage can opt for Rod of Atos and use the root that will make Puck unable to move and use his escape abilities. Alternatively, Visage can also build Orchid / Bloodthorn to prevent Puck from using his escape abilities and make him more vulnerable to damage.
Visage is strong against Necrophos because Soul Assumption punishes Necrophos for sitting in long fights and healing over time. Visage’s physical damage from Familiars bypasses Necrophos’s Ghost Shroud healing, and he can burst him down before he can build up Reaper’s Scythe. Visage doesn’t rely on healing, so Necrophos’s Heartstopper Aura is less effective. The familiar stuns also interrupt his sustain during fights.
Visage performs well against Lifestealer since he lacks strong AoE and struggles to deal with multiple targets like Familiars. Visage can kite Lifestealer during Rage duration using Grave Chill and microing Familiars. Soul Assumption builds up fast against Lifestealer's aggressive trading. Lifestealer’s physical-only focus can be mitigated by Gravekeeper’s Cloak and utility items.
Visage is a counter to Broodmother because his AoE Soul Assumption and Familiar stomps clear Brood’s spiderlings quickly, reducing her map control and pushing ability. Visage can safely farm Broodmother’s summons for gold and levels. Broodmother’s mobility is limited in teamfights, where Visage can burst her down using slow and high single-target focus. Broodmother also lacks the burst damage needed to cut through Visage’s layers.
Visage is good against Batrider since Visage can use Grave Chill to slow him during Firefly and force him out of position. Soul Assumption punishes Batrider’s chip damage from Sticky Napalm. Visage is not very susceptible to Lasso pickoffs once he has tank items or help from his Familiars. Batrider’s flying mobility doesn’t stop Visage from sending birds to lock him down or force him into poor fights.
Visage is effective versus Zeus due to Zeus's lack of mobility and low HP, making him an easy kill with Soul Assumption. Visage’s Familiars burst Zeus down quickly, and Gravekeeper’s Cloak reduces the effectiveness of Zeus’s magical poke. Zeus cannot escape Familiar stuns once they’re on him. Visage also has higher tempo and can outpush Zeus during mid-game skirmishes.

Since the Familiars are always around Visage, catching him in a Winters Curse and potentially kill him.
Moon Glaives is very effective against Visage because not only it can easily destroy Visage's Familiars, but can also remove one instance of Gravekeeper's Cloak upon each hit to Visage, leaving him susceptible to damage.
Once Visage's Familiars are picked off and all instances of Gravekeeper's Cloak are removed, Luna will be able to easily kill Visage with Eclipse.
Visage's Familiars cannot penetrate Kraken Shell and will do almost no damage to Tidehunter.
Anchor Smash's bonus damage has the potential to kill Familiars or reduce their damage.
Visage is bad against Naga Siren because her illusions overwhelm Visage and make it hard for him to identify and focus the real target. Her Song of the Siren resets fights and completely wastes Visage’s burst timing with Familiars. Naga’s illusions soak up Soul Assumption charges, denying burst potential. Over time, her Radiance and Diffusal Blade combo also burns Visage’s mana and weakens his survivability.
Visage is bad against Phantom Lancer because the massive number of illusions confuse Visage’s auto-targeting from Familiars and force Soul Assumption onto the wrong units. Phantom Lancer is hard to catch due to Doppelganger and high agility scaling, while Visage lacks reliable area-of-effect damage to clear illusions. Once Phantom Lancer builds Manta Style and Heart, he becomes unkillable for Visage. The birds also lose effectiveness against dispersed illusions.
Visage struggles against Lycan because Lycan and his units can quickly focus and destroy Visage’s Familiars, reducing his teamfight impact. Lycan’s summons do not trigger Soul Assumption effectively due to their spread-out damage. Visage has no hard disable to stop Lycan from diving supports or taking objectives with his army. Lycan's physical burst overwhelms Visage before he can reposition or summon defensive Gravekeeper’s Cloak stacks.
Visage is weak against Bristleback since Bristleback has high sustain and armor, which reduces Visage’s physical damage from Familiars and auto-attacks. Soul Assumption is not reliable because Bristleback doesn’t take burst damage, only slow chip damage. Visage cannot burst Bristleback down even with full charges, and his constant Quill Spray spam can shred Visage’s Familiars and Gravekeeper’s Cloak layers. Bristleback also builds tanky items that ignore Visage's output.
Visage is bad against Void Spirit because Void Spirit is highly mobile and can easily dodge Soul Assumption projectiles and Familiars. His Aether Remnant and Dissimilate allow him to quickly reposition and burst down Visage before he can react. Visage’s slow movement and cast animations make him a prime target for Void Spirit’s high tempo and magic burst. In addition, Void Spirit’s silence or control prevents Visage from responding.
Visage is bad against Crystal Maiden because she can easily freeze Visage or his Familiars with Frostbite, completely halting their impact. Her Freezing Field deals high AoE magic damage that melts Visage’s cloak layers and Familiars. Crystal Maiden also provides sustain to her team through Arcane Aura, helping allies deal with Visage’s mana-intensive pokes. Her crowd control punishes Visage’s lack of mobility.
Visage is bad against Kunkka because Kunkka’s high AoE damage from Tidebringer and spells like Boat and Torrent disrupt Visage’s positioning and quickly remove Gravekeeper’s Cloak layers. X Mark the Spot ensures Visage cannot flee, and Ghost Ship gives the enemy team damage mitigation during Visage’s burst window. His Familiars are easily killed by Tidebringer cleave. Kunkka's tanky build also shrugs off Visage's limited magic burst.
