Disruption can create powerful illusions of Luna that also possess her Moon Glaives, allowing for safe and fast tower pushing. Disruption can also be a good setup for Eclipse.

Demonic Purge and Lucent Beam can often stop the wounded enemy heroes from fleeing.

Vengeance Aura can improve Luna's attack range and damage. Early-game, she can set up kills as well as use Nether Swap on Luna to allow her escape from a sticky situation and potentially save her life.

Lunar Blessing can give Vengeful Spirit bonus attack damage to help her fight during the laning phase.

Treant Protector's Living Armor and Leech Seed offer sustain and crowd control, keeping Luna safe in the laning phase. His Overgrowth can disable multiple enemies, setting them up for a lethal Eclipse.

Vacuum pulls enemies together, maximizing glaive bounces and Eclipse beams.

Ion Shell allows Luna to pressure lanes early, especially with Lucent Beam spam.

Surge helps Luna reposition or chase targets, Both heroes excel in fast-paced, teamfight-heavy drafts.

Empower massively increases Luna’s glaive damage and farming speed. Reverse Polarity clusters enemies for devastating Eclipse follow-ups. Together, they scale into ultra-late game with strong AoE physical and magical burst.

Ogre’s Bloodlust gives Luna attack speed and move speed, enhancing her DPS significantly. His tankiness helps him frontline and soak damage, enabling Luna to free hit.

Multicast on Ignite + Lucent Beam helps secure early kills in lane. This pairing excels in strong dual lanes and early aggression.

Chakra Magic reduces Luna’s cooldowns, Illuminate helps clear waves fast so Luna can farm and rotate. With Aghanim’s, keeper of the light can use instant Recall, keeping her farm efficient without missing fights. They form a high-tempo push duo with strong utility and burst.

Snapfire’s Mortimer Kisses follow up Luna’s Eclipse and Beam stuns for huge burst. Cookie helps Luna escape, initiate, or reposition in fights. Both heroes deal heavy magic damage early, enabling early tower pushes and skirmishes. Great synergy in both lane and teamfight phases.

Nightmare sets up easy Lucent Beam or Eclipse follow-up kills. Fiend’s Grip disables cores while Luna melts the rest of the team. His lane control and regen trade allow Luna to farm safely and aggressively. Bane gives single-target lockdown Luna herself lacks.

Ravage clusters enemies perfectly for Luna’s glaives and Eclipse to wipe teams. Tide’s tankiness and waveclear help Luna play with tempo and siege confidently. Anchor Smash helps reduce incoming physical damage, keeping Luna alive longer in fights. Excellent synergy in deathball strategies.

Ink Swell allows Luna to dive safely with bonus stun and damage. Soulbind + Double Lucent Beam becomes a strong teamfight combo. Grimstroke’s toolkit complements Luna’s fast-paced teamfight and pickoff style. Together, they dominate midgame fights and snowball quickly.

Moon Glaives is very effective against Visage because not only it can easily destroy Visage's Familiars, but can also remove one instance of Gravekeeper's Cloak upon each hit to Visage, leaving him susceptible to damage.

Once Visage's Familiars are picked off and all instances of Gravekeeper's Cloak are removed, Luna will be able to easily kill Visage with Eclipse.

Though Enchantress's Untouchable can greatly reduce Luna's attack speed, and can go through any form of Spell Immunity, she has a pitiful HP so Lucent Beam and Eclipse can kill her very quickly.

Moon Glaives allows Luna to clear Enchantress's creeps very efficiently.

Luna’s glaive bounces clear Naga’s illusions quickly. Eclipse melts her before Song of the Siren can be cast. Her fast-paced tempo punishes Naga’s farming window.

Eclipse damages Brew’s spirits heavily and can kill one instantly, weakening Primal Split.

Glaives also clear summoned units quickly. Brew struggles to tank Luna’s hybrid damage once her BKB is up.

Luna’s fast attacks deletes Tombstone early on. Her being agility doesn't effect her when undying spam decays since she can last hit easily. Undying’s lack of disable lets Luna cast spells freely in fights.

Luna outranges and outmaneuvers ET in lane. Eclipse punishes him during Spirit + Stomp cast animations. Luna often builds BKB early, neutralizing ET’s magic damage and aura.

Luna’s Lucent Beam gives instant lockdown, punishing Weaver’s low HP. Her glaives chase him even when Shukuchi is used in fights given their is sentry, dust or gem. Weaver struggles to survive in Eclipse if caught once.

Luna’s early fighting strength and daytime dominance punish NS’s weak early game.

Her BKB negates Crippling Fear and lets her keep fighting. She farms faster and hits power spikes sooner than Night stalker.

Eclipse makes it risky for LC to Duel Luna or any nearby target. Lucent Beam interrupts Blink initiations and duel combos. Luna’s teamfight presence discourages Legion commander from solo picks midgame. Luna can also survive duel through satanic.

Luna clears Beastmaster’s zoo with glaives easily. She can stand her ground during Roar with BKB and Eclipse. Beastmaster's summon and tower push style game play is useless against luna.

Wall of Replica and Normal Punch (Aghanim's Scepter Upgrade) can create multiple Illusions of Luna to do devastating amounts of damage to her own team as she tends to build heavy stat items to improve her own Manta Illusions' damage and durability. The Illusions DS creates inherit both Moon Glaives and Lunar Blessing. Surge is amazing at disengaging from Eclipse or closing the gap on Luna.

Both Blade Fury and Omnislash are direct counters to Eclipse, offering Juggernaut spell immunity and invulnerabilty. Therefore, Luna will need assistance in taking down Juggernaut as going solo will not be successful.

Because of her low range, Luna cannot easily destroy Healing Ward.

Demonic Purge takes off Luna's superior mobility, removing the need for chasing her and allowing your team to reposition in team fights or escape when at low HP. If Shadow Demon has Aghanim's Scepter it will also take away glaive bounces and extra damage from Luna's passive. And Luna's commonly items Manta Style and Black King Bar does not work dispell to Demonic Purge

Luna's illusions created by Disruption are very valuable with their Moon Glaives. These will effectively counter her pushing attempts and are painfully effective in team fights.

Disruption can be used to save an ally from Eclipse.

For the same reasons, Shadow Demon makes a very powerful ally for Luna when they are in the same team.

Chen's creeps soak up a large portion of Luna’s glaive bounces and Eclipse beams.

His army and sustain delay Luna’s timing to take objectives. Chen out-pushes early and counters Luna’s 5-man group-up with map pressure.

Atrophy Aura reduces Luna’s right-click damage drastically, especially during midgame. Pit of Malice roots her in Eclipse or to forces her to use BKB . Underlord's tankiness and aura-based playstyle slow down Luna’s tempo.

Medusa’s Mana Shield absorbs most of Luna’s magical and physical burst. Medusa out-scales Luna in ultra-late-game and holds high ground much better. During fights medusa can turn with stone gaze.

Brambles and Cursed Crown interrupt Luna’s positioning and channeled fights. Shadow Realm and Bedlam allow Willow to out-trade and kite Luna in lane, Terrorize can be used to reset or setup on luna.

Luna’s glaives hit Bristle from behind, charging up Quills. She can't kill him fast enough, and her magic damage is ineffective vs his tankiness. Bristle punishes close-range heroes like Luna with constant harass.

Fiend’s Grip pierces BKB and completely disables Luna during fights. Nightmare saves his cores from Eclipse or Lucent Beam burst. Bane has the tools to lock Luna down and render her damage useless.

Luna blows cooldowns on his first life, only for him to respawn and re-engage. She lacks burst to kill both Wraith King and his team unless farmed significantly. WK makes her glaives and Eclipse unreliable due to many skeletons.
