Batrider's initiation with Flaming Lasso helps lock down an enemy hero and lets Pangolier follow up with Swashbuckle and Rolling Thunder to get guaranteed connections with his ultimate for kills. This saves Pangolier from going in first, which is exactly how he likes to play with Rolling Thunder.

Clockwerk's initiation with Hook Shot and Power Cogs traps an enemy hero in a very small area, which lets Pangolier follow up with his Swashbuckle and Rolling Thunder to chain stun and kill anyone caught by the combo. This saves Pangolier from going in first, which is exactly how he likes to play with Rolling Thunder.

Dark Seer's Vacuum into Wall of Replica combo gathers enemy heroes in a single spot and slows them, which is the perfect set up for Pangolier to follow up with his damage and lockdown through his spells to do massive damage to all of them. Having multiple enemy heroes in a single spot also lets Pangolier build up a massive barrier when he hits them with Shield Crash.

Pangolier's Rolling Thunder gets him in the middle of teamfights and right next to enemy heroes, which is perfect for Dawnbreaker to follow up with Solar Guardian to get on top of enemy heroes. The collective AoE damage and lockdown from both heroes makes them extremely potent in teamfights. The Solar Guardian heal also helps Pangolier survive when caught, and ensure he gets Rolling Thunder off in fights.

Keeper of the Light's Chakra Magic reduces the cooldown of spells that are currently on cooldown, which makes it extremely effective with low cooldown spells. Pangolier's Swashbuckle and Sheild Crash are both low cooldown spells that do massive damage in an AoE, making them perfect for Keeper of the Light to reset in fights while giving some much needed mana to Pangolier to spam his spells.

Pangolier makes for a great vehicle for Lifestealer's Infest bomb as Rolling Thunder gets him in the middle of fights and right next to enemy heroes, letting Lifestealer do burst damage and immediately start hitting an enemy hero during Rage. Pangolier's massive AoE damage and lockdown also helps cover the teamfight deficiencies of Lifestealer.

Lion's Finger of Death is a great backup to Pangolier's initiation with Rolling Thunder as he can finish off an enemy hero quickly and let Pangolier switch between targets in his ultimate duration to control and kill multiple heroes. Once Lion gets Blink Dagger, he can initiate for Pangolier with his lockdown spells to ensure Rolling Thunder connects on immobile enemy heroes. Mana Drain also helps resolve Pangolier's mana issues.

Magnus' initiation with Skewer and Reverse Polarity locks down multiple enemy heroes in a single spot, which is perfect for Pangolier to follow up with his damage and lockdown through his spells to do massive damage to all of them. Having multiple enemy heroes in a single spot also lets Pangolier build up a massive barrier when he hits them with Shield Crash. Empower also helps boost Pangolier's farm speed and damage output in fights.

Mars' initiation with Arena of Blood and Spear of Mars locks down an enemy hero, which lets Pangolier follow up with Swashbuckle and Rolling Thunder to get guaranteed connections with his ultimate for kills. The Arena wall also doesn't interfere with Rolling Thunder, letting Pangolier move freely through it and not get stuck inside or outside of it.

Slardar's Corrosive Haze reduces the armor of his targets, which boosts the damage of Swashbuckle and Rolling Thunder from Pangolier. Once Slardar gets Blink Dagger, he can initiate and lock down enemy heroes with Slithereen Crush and Bash of the Deep, letting Pangolier follow up with his Swashbuckle and Rolling Thunder to finish off kills.

Vengeful Spirit's Wave of Terror reduces the armor of affected enemy heroes and creeps, which boosts the damage of Swashbuckle and Rolling Thunder from Pangolier. Vengeful Spirit can also lock down an enemy hero with Magic Missile, as well as bring an enemy hero in a specific spot with Nether Swap, which lets Pangolier follow up with the damage and lockdown through his spells to finish off kills.

Warlock's Fatal Bonds binds multiple enemy heroes together to extend the damage taken by one of them to all the bonded heroes. Pangolier makes great use of this to burst down multiple heroes with his massive AoE damage through all his active spells. Warlock's Shadow Word also keeps Pangolier healthy and does damage around him while he's in the middle of fights during Rolling Thunder.

Pangolier gets easy kills on a squishy and immobile Ancient Apparition with his high damage and lockdown through his spells. Ancient Apparition has no natural ability to dodge Rolling Thunder and gets chain stunned to death. Pangolier's mobility through Swashbuckle and Shield Crash lets him avoid getting frozen by Cold Feet, and the magic damage reduction during Rolling Thunder helps him survive through Ice Blast.

Pangolier gets to easily close the gap on a squishy and immobile Arc Warden with Rolling Thunder to chain stun and kill him as he has no natural way of avoiding the Rolling Thunder collision. Other than Rolling Thunder, Pangolier's mobility through Swashbuckle and Shield Crash also lets him get inside the Magnetic Field bubble to burst down Arc Warden.

Pangolier does AoE damage with all his active spells, which lets him easily kill practically all of Broodmother's Spiderlings with a single volley of spells. Pangolier can also easily chase down Broodmother during Rolling Thunder, as well as match her mobility over trees and cliffs with his own mobility through Swashbuckle and Shield Crash. The Pangolier Aghanim's Scepter also heavily counters Broodmother and her spiders.

Pangolier does AoE damage with all his active spells, which lets him easily kill all of Chen's army of creeps with a single volley of spells. This lets Pangolier deal with Chen's early game pressure, effectively countering his game plan. Chen also has no natural ability to dodge the Rolling Thunder collision, and gets chain stunned to death every time during Pangolier's ultimate.

Pangolier's Rolling Thunder lets him quickly get to Dazzle's body when he uses Nothl Projection to join fights while hiding himself. In this way, Pangolier can quickly kill Dazzle with his massive burst damage while he is immobile and cannot avoid the Rolling Thunder collision. Other than Rolling Thunder, Pangolier can also close the gap and kill Dazzle with his mobility and damage through Swashbuckle and Shield Crash.

Pangolier gets easy kills on a squishy and immobile Disruptor with his high damage and lockdown through his spells. Disruptor has no natural ability to dodge Rolling Thunder and gets chain stunned to death. Pangolier can also dodge the Glimpse back by using Rolling Thunder, as well as Roll Up when he has Aghanim's Shard. Kinetic Field also doesn't interrupt the movement of Rolling Thunder, which lets Pangolier easily move through it.

Pangolier does AoE damage with all his active spells, which lets him threaten all the Meepo clones at the same time, effectively stopping Meepo from fight him back. Pangolier can also control and chain stun all the Meepo clones during Rolling Thunder. The Shield Crash on all the Meepo clones also gives Pangolier a massive damage barrier, practically making him invincible.

Pangolier's Rolling Thunder lets him close the gap on a squishy and immobile Muerta and chain stun her to death with his high damage spells. Muerta's Pierce the Veil lets her dodge the Rolling Thunder and Swashbuckle damage, but she can still be controlled by Pangolier's ultimate and takes damage from Shield Crash. The magic resistance during Rolling Thunder also reduces a ton of Muerta's damage.

Pangolier's massive damage and lockdown with his spells makes short work of a squishy and immobile Nature's Prophet and gives him easy kills. Rolling Thunder breaks trees in its path, letting Pangolier get in and out of Sprout to maintain the chase on Nature's Prophet. The mobility from Swashbuckle and Shield Crash also help deal with Sprout and kill Nature's Prophet and his Treants at the same time.

Pangolier does AoE damage with all his active spells, which lets him do damage to Phantom Lancer and his illusions at the same time to kill them in a single volley of spells, and find the real Phantom Lancer among them. Pangolier's mobility through Swashbuckle and Shield Crash also lets him match Phantom Lancer's mobility through Doppelganger. Aghanim's Scepter on Pangolier makes this matchup even more one sided.

Pangolier's Rolling Thunder lets him close the gap on a squishy and immobile Sniper and chain stun him to death with his high damage spells. Pangolier's mobility through Swashbuckle and Shield Crash lets him stay on top of Sniper even after he moves away with Concussive Grenade once he has Aghanim's Shard. The attack speed slow from Lucky Shot also prevents Sniper from fighting back effectively.

Pangolier's Swashbuckle lets him chew through most of Templar Assassin's Refraction charges and follow up with Rolling Thunder and Shield Crash to chain stun and kill her as she has no natural mobility to dodge Pangolier's ultimate. The Shield Crash barrier also helps absorb some of Templar Assassin's burst damage, while the attack speed slow from Lucky Shot prevents her from fighting back effectively.

Pangolier's Rolling Thunder lets him avoid the Upheaval slow to find Warlock while he hides in the backlines to chain stun and kill him as he has no natural ability to dodge Pangolier's ultimate. Pangolier's massive burst damage through his spells also lets him kill the Chaotic Offering Golem with ease. The mini stun from Chaotic Offering also doesn't deter Pangolier during Rolling Thunder.

Beastmaster's Primal Roar pierces debuff immunity, and lets him control Pangolier during Rolling Thunder for a lengthy duration to waste most of his ultimate. Outside of Rolling Thunder, Beastmaster can easily jump and stun Pangolier with Primal Roar and burst him down with his physical damage.

Bloodseeker's Rupture heavily counters Pangolier's Rolling Thunder as the movement while rolling does massive damage when affected by the ultimate. This makes Pangolier immediately stop Rolling Thunder or die while rolling. The Blood Rite silence also prevents Pangolier from using his other spells to fight back, letting Bloodseeker easily fight him and burst him down.

Centaur Warrunner's Retaliate reflects a ton of Pangolier's massive damage back to him, while his high HP pool keeps him from getting bursted by Pangolier's spells. Once Centaur gets Blade Mail, Swashbuckle threatens Pangolier even more with the reflected damage. Centaur's Stampede also boost the movement speed of his entire team to avoid the Rolling Thunder collision and disengage during Pangolier's ultimate.

Clockwerk's long range Hook Shot lets him find Pangolier and keep him from channeling Rolling Thunder with Battery Assault as the constant mini stun never lets him complete the initial cast of his ultimate. While Pangolier is rolling during his ultimate, a well placed Power Cogs can trap Pangolier inside or push him away from the fight, making it extremely tricky for Pangolier to move around and do damage during Rolling Thunder.

Faceless Void's Time Walk lets him reverse the damage taken from Pangolier's burst damage spells, as well as dodge the Rolling Thunder collision by jumping away from its path. Time Dilation also prevents Pangolier from using his low cooldown spells multiple times in fights. Faceless Void also easily bursts down Pangolier inside Chronosphere, or waste his ultimate if Pangolier is already rolling with his ultimate.

Grimstroke's Soulbind can link Pangolier to one of his allies during Rolling Thunder, making him completely stagnant and roll in place, wasting his entire ultimate. The Soulbind leash also prevents Pangolier's mobility from Shield Crash and Swashbuckle. This makes it extremely tricky for Pangolier to enter fights and makes him stand away from his entire team.

Medusa's Stone Gaze can turn Pangolier to stone during his ultimate if he rolls in her direction during his ultimate, wasting a majority of the Rolling Thunder duration. Medusa also doesn't get bursted down by Pangolier's high damage spells, and her physical damage lets her threaten, and even kill, Pangolier during Rolling Thunder.

Puck's Dream Coil leashes Pangolier in a small area and prevents him from casting any of his active spells, except for Shield Crash, to get away until he breaks the link. Puck's follow up damage and control through Illusory Orb and Waning Rift lets her silence and kill Pangolier without letting him do anything in fights. Puck can also easily dodge the Rolling Thunder collision with a well timed Phase Shift.

Slark's Pounce leashes Pangolier close to him and prevents him from casting any of his active spells, except for Shield Crash, to get away or fight back. The Shield Crash barrier only gives Slark a bigger HP pool to attack and build up Essence Shift stacks. Pangolier can never chain stun Slark during Rolling Thunder because of the Dark Pact dispel, and Pounce also lets Slark jump out of the collision path.

A well placed Ice Shards from Tusk pushes away Pangolier during Rolling Thunder, and can even trap him in the small area to waste his entire ultimate. This makes it extremely tricky for Pangolier to do damage in fights with his ultimate. Tusk's control spells also interrupt Pangolier from casting Rolling Thunder, while Snowball can save an ally from the collision as well as match Pangolier's mobility from Shield Crash and Swashbuckle.

The Winter's Curse from Winter Wyvern pierces debuff immunity, which lets him cast the ultimate on Pangolier during Rolling Thunder to waste his ultimate, depending on the number of enemy heroes caught in the AoE. A well timed Cold Embrace from Winter Wyvern also prevents the entire damage from Rolling Thunder and Swashbuckle while healing up whoever Pangolier is trying to burst down with his spells.
