Chakra Magic will help Storm Spirit be a threat on the map and speeding up his farm due to the constant mana refill.

The Lifestealer bomb combo can come in handy in a game, as Lifestealer and Overload make for a highly damaging combo against lone targets and is the perfect way for the otherwise immobile Lifestealer to engage in melee combat.

Crystal Maiden’s passive, Arcane Aura, helps Storm Spirit sustain his mana pool, allowing him to stay active without sacrificing resources early on. She can also set up fights with Frostbite and Crystal Nova, giving Storm easy opportunities to follow up and secure kills.

Storm doesn’t want to initiate and waste his resources early; instead, Mars can set up fights with his disables, allowing Storm to safely follow up and clean up kills. This teamwork lets Storm preserve mana and position better for maximum impact.

Centaur Warrunner can initiate fights for Storm by tanking damage and absorbing hard lockdown spells that would otherwise kill Storm if he jumped in first. This frontline setup gives Storm the space to follow up safely and deal damage without risking early death.

Global Silence combined with Storm Spirit’s Ball Lightning is a powerful setup, allowing Storm to dive in and finish kills without much punishment from enemies. The silence prevents counterplay, giving Storm a safe window to burst down targets and escape.

...core items [7.39b]

A core item to have on a hero like Storm that relies on his spells to either farm or dealing damage to enemies. Kaya will reduce the cost while amplifying the damage of all of his spells.

A core item that massively increases the right click damage output of your hero and nearby allies with Overload. Has great synergy with your level 25 talent.

A core item to significantly improve your impact in teamfights with a long duration AoE stun with Electric Vortex. Has great synergy with your level 20 talent.

Ancient Apparition's only skill to stop Storm Spirit is Cold Feet, which is bad in general when trying to stop a Storm Spirit without any other disable.

As a fragile support with low Strength gain and no magic resistance, Ancient Apparition is vulnerable to Storm Spirit's combos.

Sniper is very squishy and cannot deal with heroes that jump onto him and lock him down. Storm Spirit closes the gap in a fight against Sniper, and Sniper has no way to escape except for some items. Storm Spirit can dodge Assassinate with a correctly timed Ball Lightning.

Storm Spirit can effectively close the gap and chase down Zeus due to his high mobility and ability to dodge spells. Zeus lacks disables and has limited mobility, making him vulnerable to Storm's aggressive plays.

Viper lacks mobility and has no disables, making him an easy target for Storm Spirit. In the mid to late game, Storm can easily chase him down with Ball Lightning and burst him before Viper can retaliate.

Venomancer has no disables, and his entire kit relies on slows, which Storm Spirit can easily ignore using Ball Lightning. This allows Storm to dive in, avoid most of Venomancer’s impact, and kill him at any point in the game.

Razor relies on staying close to heroes to deal damage with Static Link and Eye of the Storm. Storm Spirit can easily kite him using Ball Lightning and can dispel Razor’s buffs or slows, making it hard for Razor to lock him down. This mobility advantage lets Storm control fights against Razor.

Storm Spirit takes no damage if he is raptured by blood seeker, while using ball lightning.

Mana Break can quickly burn Storm Spirit's mana, preventing him from escaping.

Blink allows Anti-Mage to catch up to Storm Spirit when he tries to use his Ball Lightning to escape.

Mana Void deals massive damage to Storm Spirit as well as his teammates, as Storm Spirit depletes his mana pool by using Ball Lightning.

Counterspell's passive magic resistance reduces much of Storm Spirit's magical damage dealt to Anti-Mage, and the active aspect may even make Storm Spirit disable himself

Doom prevents Storm Spirit from using all of his abilities and items, rendering Storm Spirit useless in a fight.

Flame Guard absorbs up to 500 magical damage (700 with Level 10 talents), which helps Ember Spirit survive against Storm Spirit's high magical damage.

Searing Chains can root enemies up to 3 seconds, making Storm Spirit unable to escape with Ball Lightning.

Fire Remnant deals high magical damage when casting multiple instances at once, granting Ember Spirit the damage to burst Storm Spirit down in the early to mid game.

Silencer can permanently silence Storm Spirit once he jumps in, especially if Storm doesn’t have a BKB. Global Silence shuts down Storm’s mobility and spell usage, making him an easy target for follow-up disables and burst. Without BKB, Storm is extremely vulnerable to Silencer’s kit.

Meepo can lock down Storm Spirit using his Earthbind (net) and burst him quickly with Poof combos. If Meepo catches Storm without backup, he can prevent Storm’s escape and secure a kill before Storm can react.

Storm Spirit cannot escape Puck’s Coil, and Puck’s Silence completely disables him, preventing any spell usage or escape. This makes Storm extremely vulnerable during fights if caught by Puck’s setup, especially without BKB

Night Stalker’s superior night vision and silence make it difficult for Storm Spirit to safely commit to teamfights. The silence prevents Storm from using his spells or escaping, while Night Stalker’s vision control limits Storm’s ability to roam and initiate.

Bane can lock down Storm Spirit with Fiend’s Grip and Nightmare, disabling his mobility and burst potential.

Storm Spirit cannot use Ball Lightning if Tide hunter casts Dead in the Water on him.
