Thirst synergizes well with Windranger's Powershot, allowing her Powershot snipe enemies from far away and finish them when they're low on HP.
Windranger can shackle a unit to a sprouted tree which Nature's Prophet can set up.
Windranger benefits from Magnus’s Reverse Polarity, which sets up easy Shackleshots and full Focus Fire damage. Empower boosts her right-click damage massively in team fights. Together, they can burst down cores in lockdown. Their synergy scales well into late game.
Windranger can output maximum damage inside Chronosphere using Focus Fire. Shackleshot is a good follow-up disable after Chrono ends. She stays on the edge of the bubble safely while contributing huge DPS. This combo punishes mispositioning brutally.
Bane sets up easy Shackleshots with Nightmare and holds enemies for long durations using Fiend’s Grip. Windranger capitalizes on the immobility with full damage output. She protects Bane with Windrun and zoning while he channels. Their pickoff potential is dangerous throughout the game.
Pangolier’s Rolling Thunder disrupts enemy formations, allowing Windranger to find ideal Shackleshot angles. His AoE control gives her space to channel Powershot and Focus Fire. They’re both fast-paced and scale well with midgame skirmishes. Their combined mobility overwhelms slow teams.
Dark Willow’s Bramble Maze roots and Cursed Crown stun line up well with Windranger’s Shackleshot. Windranger provides the sustained damage that Willow lacks. Together they zone enemies and punish overextensions. Their crowd control chains well in fights.
Techies' Proximity Mines can be comboed with Shackleshot and Focus Fire. Windranger can force enemies into minefields using her gale force. Their combined magic and physical burst is hard to survive. They stall and punish greedy plays effectively.
Tidehunter frontlines and absorbs attention, letting Windranger focus on clean Shackleshots and sniping targets. His Ravage sets up her ultimate perfectly. She stays at range while he zones enemies. Their initiation power in team fights is overwhelming.
Zeus’s global burst softens up enemies for Windranger to clean up with Focus Fire. His constant damage reveals invisible units for her to snipe. She provides physical damage to balance Zeus’s magic output. They’re excellent at controlling vision and tempo.
Invoker’s crowd control spells like Tornado and Ice Wall help Windranger land Shackleshot and kite enemies. He provides utility while she delivers consistent damage. Their magic and physical damage balance well in fights. They thrive in team fights and long skirmishes.

Windranger prevents Huskar from landing Burning Spears by using Windrun.
Because Huskar tends to be at low health, Focus Fire and Powershot are good abilities against him.
Phantom Assassin's Blur is useless against Windranger as she commonly buys items that require Javelin like Maelstrom, Monkey King Bar or Bloodthorn, and other than Stifling Dagger, Phantom Assassin has nothing else that can bypass Windrun.
Additionally, Phantom Assassin doesn't like building Monkey King Bar because her crits are reliant on attack damage.
Focus Fire can still deal considerable damage despite Blur's evasion due to the increased attack speed.
Windranger can easily snipe Chen's creeps with Powershot, reducing his map presence and sustain. She avoids getting caught due to her Windrun, making it hard for Chen to punish her in pushes. Focus Fire melts Chen quickly as he is not tanky and lacks disables. She disrupts his timing and stalls his push strategies.
Windranger can dodge Echo Stomp and Astral Spirit harassment using Windrun. Her mobility lets her avoid team fight positioning traps that Elder Titan relies on. She can pick him off with Focus Fire before he lands his combo. He lacks hard lockdown to stop her damage output.
Windranger is effective against Lycan due to her kiting potential with Windrun and Shackleshot. She can escape his summons and slow his momentum in team fights. Focus Fire can kill Lycan or his creeps before he snowballs. She punishes him if he fails to burst down backlines instantly.
Windranger’s physical damage with Focus Fire is excellent against Enchantress despite Untouchable. Windrun helps avoid her Impetus damage while Shackleshot disables her positioning. Powershot clears her creeps and slows down her early game pressure. She makes it difficult for Enchantress to zone or burst enemies.
Windranger can kill the Spirit Bear quickly with Focus Fire, weakening Lone Druid’s power. Windrun avoids the Bear's Entangle and slows its damage. Shackleshot can disable both the Bear and Druid if aligned properly. She denies his ability to frontline and split push.
Windranger is hard for Ancient Apparition to catch or zone due to her high mobility. Windrun avoids his auto-attacks and she can dodge Ice Blast with ease. Focus Fire kills him quickly before he gets off crucial spells. She makes AA a non-factor in team fights.
Windranger can outmaneuver Viper's slows and kite him with Windrun. She avoids most of his right-click damage while poking him from a safe distance. Shackleshot allows her to control him during Focus Fire. Viper’s lack of burst makes it hard for him to bring her down quickly.
Windranger can Windrun to avoid Juggernaut’s right clicks and potentially survive Omnislash. She can kite him during Blade Fury with Shackleshot and Focus Fire after. Her mobility lets her reposition during his combos. Juggernaut needs a strong lead to catch her consistently.
Windranger avoids Dark Seer’s Vacuum and Ion Shell with Windrun. She can focus down illusions quickly with Powershot or Focus Fire. Her single-target damage ignores Dark Seer's spread-based utility. He can’t punish her mobility or stop her from executing backline picks.

Retaliate will shred through Windranger's health if she chooses to attack him during Focus Fire.
Stampede can help his teammates escape from Windrun and Focus Fire.
Rupture turns Windranger's mobility against her.
Blood Rite's silence makes Windranger totally useless, since she's extremely reliant on abilities.
Windranger’s long channeling Focus Fire makes her a prime target for Berserker’s Call. Axe forces her to attack him, triggering counter helix and controlling her. She gets countered hard during her burst window.
Tiny can burst Windranger instantly with Avalanche and Toss combo. Her Windrun does nothing to stop his magic burst and toss disables her mobility. She has trouble locking him down before he deletes her. He invalidates her midgame power spikes with his quick burst.
Queen of Pain bursts Windranger down with Scream and Sonic Wave before she can Windrun. Her mobility allows her to escape Focus Fire and avoid Shackleshot setups. Windranger can’t contest her laning pressure or match her tempo. Queen of Pain thrives against squishy mids like her.
Clockwerk traps Windranger inside Power Cogs, forcing her to use Windrun defensively. Battery Assault cancels her channeling abilities like Focus Fire and Powershot. She gets isolated and controlled before she can contribute. Clockwerk punishes her weak escapes under pressure.
Arc Warden out-ranges Windranger and uses double Magnetic Fields to evade her damage. His clone soaks Shackleshot and Focus Fire, wasting her cooldowns. He forces Windranger to commit spells inefficiently. Over time, he zones her out and controls the map safely.
Tusk closes the gap on Windranger with Snowball and disables her with Walrus Punch. He tanks her initial burst and returns with high-impact control. Shackleshot is hard to land reliably on him. Windrun cannot save her from physical burst while stunned or isolated.
Razor drains Windranger’s damage with Static Link, making her Focus Fire weak. Windrun does not stop his movement-based chase or Eye of the Storm. She cannot trade damage effectively in prolonged fights. Razor punishes her need to stay close during engagements.
Kunkka catches Windranger with X Mark and follows with Torrent and Boat combo. Her Windrun doesn’t dodge his magic burst or disable chain. He forces fights where her mobility is ineffective. Kunkka can out-tank and control her in most encounters.
