Death Pulse and Death Seeker (Aghanim's Shard Upgrade) provide low cooldown AOE healing that can affect CK's Illusions and sustain them in fights, allowing them to deal with one of CK's main counters better - AOE damage. Phantasm's amazing burst pairs well with Reaper's Scythe, quickly dispatching most targets.

Death Pulse and Death Seeker (Aghanim's Shard Upgrade) provide low cooldown AOE healing that can affect all Meepos and greatly sustain him in fights, allowing him to deal with one of his main counters better - AOE damage.

Necro likes long drawn out fights where he can get maximum uptime for his Hearthstopper Aura. Spectre loves healing, which Necro has an abundance of. This combination allows Spectre to prolong the fight as any healing done to her is amplified due to Dispersion reducing any damage source.

The combination of Ghost Shroud and Fate's Edict renders Necro immune to both Physical and Magical damage, so you better be packing a Dispel or a ton of Pure damage to deal with it. Purifying Flame's heal is amplified during Ghost Shroud and Fortune's End provides Necro with a much needed dispel to make sure he gets his spells of in the face of Silences. False Promise is amazing on Necro as he packs enough self healing with Death Pulse, Death Seeker and Sadist to come out the other side fully healed.

In lane, the two pair well together as they are melee/ranged. ES is one of the best supports for Necro as he provides a sturdy body to protect him in lane that greatly benefits from Death Pulse's heal. Later on ES packs enough burst damage with his kit to set up a Reaper's Scythe kill, while being able to reposition Necro with Boulder Smash and Geomagnetic Grip (once upgraded by Aghanim's Shard) to mitigate his low mobility.

A core boots upgrade that makes up for Necrophos's lack of mobility and low movement speed. Allows you to constantly push out waves, farm and join fights at the same time.

A core item to improve your AoE damage along with Death Pulse. Improves your farm efficiency by clearing creep waves and neutrals much faster. Works well in combination with Aghanims Scepter later in the game to do massive AoE damage in teamfights.

A core item to close the gap on a target enemy or ally. Lets you farm much faster and do more damage in teamfights in combination with Death Pulse.

A core item that makes you significantly more tanky with HP pool and regen. Works well with Aghanims Scepter to do massive AoE damage with Heartstopper Aura.

A core item that massively boosts your AoE damage with Heartstopper Aura. Has great synergy with HP regen from Heart and stacks built up from Reapers Scythe kills.

Alch's damage is exclusively physical and Necro's Ghost Shroud completely negates it. Reaper's Scythe is a powerful tool to burst him and his Hearthstopper Aura can further reduce Chemical Rage's healing substantially, which is Alch's main defensive tool.

Necro's abundance of AOE Magic Damage makes him one of the best Juxtapose Illusion clearers. Ghost Shroud prevents PL or his Illusions from attacking Necro, while Hearthstopper Aura, Death Pulse and Death Seeker (Aghanim's Shard Upgrade) wear PL down and naturally clear his abundance of Illusions. Furthermore, Necro is a natural Radiance and Shiva's Guard buyer as he can increase their AOE with Profane Potency, which are one of the best to deal with PL.

Huskar likes to run around with low HP to maximize his farming speed and damage output via Berserker's Blood, making it hard to play around Reaper's Scythe as it does more damage the lower the HP. Despite constantly playing at low HP he tends to have a large maximum HP pool as he builds mainly into Strength items in order to scale optimally, which scales Hearthstopper Aura's damage. It can be tricky for Huskar to Armlet toggle when facing both Radiance and Hearthstopper Aura's constant damage instances.

Necro can sustain himself and easily pressure Spectre in lane with Death Pulse. Worse than that he can also sustain his allies due to his AOE heals. Ghost Shroud prevents Spectre from attacking chhim and Dispersion does neither reduce nor reflect any damage from Hearthstopper Aura.

Necro's kit leaves Axe in shambles. He deals exclusively Magic damage, which also scales with % Max HP that does not get reduced by Axe's armor. He provides hefty AOE healing, which helps keep his team topped up. His low attack speed barely procs Counter Helix.

Death Pulse, Hearthstopper Aura and Death Seeker (Aghanim's Shard Upgrade) can affect Slark during Shadow Dance and Depth Shroud (Aghanim's Shard Upgrade), which are his main defensive tools. Dark Pact does not dispel Reaper's Scythe and Ghost Shroud prevents Slark from attacking Necro and gaining Essence Shift stacks.

Ice Blast prevents Necro from healing trough Sadist and Death Pulse, while having Ghost Shroud amplify it's damage as it reduces Magic Resistance. Necro has no innate mobility spells and is quite slow and stationery, making it difficult for him to disengage easily and wait out the duration of Ice Blast in safety.

Necro is strong and sturdy but slow and stationary making Spark Wraith and Flux amazing tools at wearing him down and keeping him at bay. Tempest Double allows Arc to continue fighting and splitpushing even if Reaper's Scythe manages to kill the main Arc, diminishing it's effectiveness. Shiva's Guard as well as Necro's level 20 talent reduces Barracuda's HP regen.

Disruption is just a nightmare for Necro - any Illusions that it creates inherit Hearthstopper Aura as well as other auras like Radiance or Shiva, which Necro naturally builds into, as well as Sadist and Profane Potency to help them stay alive. Disruption can be used as a save from Reaper's Scythe as it has a fairly long connection time. Demonic Purge dispels Ghost Shroud and hinders Necro's already low mobility even further.

Necro's main mechanic is healing trough Death Pulse, Death Seeker (Aghanim's Shard Upgrade) and Sadist stacks, which Doom completely prevents. Doom can Devour several creeps and use them against Necro - some of the more notable ones are: Satyr Banisher to Purge Ghost Shroud; Centaur Courser for Cloak Aura, which is a Magic Resistance AURA (basically Pipe but twice as better); Vhoul Assassin for Envenomed Weapon to almost entirely reduce Sadist's and general HP regen.

Oracle has not 1 but 2 saves from Reaper's Scythe - Fate's Edict, which provides 100% Magic Resistance and False Promise. Having 2 saves is already bad enough for Necro, but Fate's Edict specifically is a low cooldown basic ability with a relatively large cast range and low cast point. Fortune's End can dispel Ghost Shroud, while rendering Necro rooted and Purifying Flames can do some significant damage during Ghost Shroud.
