Ursa relies on getting fast stacks of Fury Swipes, but Ogre Magi’s tankiness delays his kill window. Fireblast and Ignite slow Ursa’s aggressive movement in fights. Ogre Magi can buy time with stuns until help arrives. Ursa’s low health pool makes him vulnerable to burst spells.
Ogre Magi has high health and natural regeneration, making it hard for Nyx Assassin to burst him. His multicast disables can lock down Nyx Assassin even when he is invisible. Ignite reveals Nyx Assassin from invisibility and prevents safe initiations. Ogre Magi can tank through most of Nyx Assassin’s combo.
Silencer struggles against tanky, close-range heroes who can outlast his magic poke His frequent disables stop Silencer from scaling safely in teamfights. Ogre Magi’s passive regeneration nullifies Arcane Curse over time.

Ogre Magi forces Night Stalker to focus him, which wastes his ultimate window. Ignite makes it difficult for Night Stalker to chase low-health supports.
Ignite burns through Templar Assassin’s Refraction charges quickly. Ogre Magi’s stuns allow his team to follow up before she escapes. He is durable enough to stand his ground during her burst. Bloodlust helps allies chase or escape her damage spikes.

Phantom Lancer overwhelms Ogre Magi with illusions that Ignite cannot clear quickly. Ogre Magi lacks strong Area of effect damage and becomes mana-drained in long fights.
