Spirit Breaker's Charge of Darkness lets him go after and finish off low HP enemy heroes revealed by Bloodseeker's Thirst. Spirit Breaker's lockdown and global initiation through Charge of Darkness also helps cancel the Teleport on enemy heroes when they attempt to get away during Rupture. Nether Strike and Greater Bash also forcefully move their target, which does Rupture damage.

Bounty Hunter likes to roam the map and scout enemy heroes to target them with Track. This provides vision for Spirit Breaker to follow up with his Charge of Darkness, letting both heroes get a pickoff with their collective damage and control to snowball with the gold gained from Track kills.

Spirit Breaker makes great use of Dark Seer's Ion Shell on him by getting on top of enemy heroes with Charge of Darkness and doing damage around him. This also makes him much more potent during the laning stage and lets both heroes play extremely aggressively. Later in the game, Dark Seer's Surge on Spirit Breaker provides movement speed to do more damage with Greater Bash and Charge of Darkness.

Doom's Doom is usually dealt with by retreating and hiding somewhere in safety until it expires. Charge of Darkness provides global follow up damage and vision of the Doomed target to secure the kill, allowing Doom to ult more freely and more often as he has consistent follow up from Spirit Breaker. Both Nether Strike and Charge of Darkness proc Greater Bash, that can interrupt any Doomed targets that are trying to TP out to safety even if they have Debuff Immunity.

Spirit Breaker makes great use of Grimstroke's Ion Shell as the movement speed boost increases his Charge of Darkness and Greater Bash damage, while Charge of Darkness also brings Spirit Breaker right next to an enemy hero to stun them and do damage. Spirit Breaker also gets to damage two heroes with Nether Strike when they are bound by Grimstroke's Soulbind.

Spirit Breaker's global initiation through Charge of Darkness enables Huskar's aggression even more in the laning stage. Most enemy heroes facing Huskar are always on low HP because of his aggression and damage, which lets Spirit Breaker Charge them and lock them down, letting Huskar finish them off easily. Huskar also maintains his aggression beyond the laning stage to push towers and run into the enemy jungle, where Spirit Breaker can easily join him with Charge of Darkness to enable pickoffs on enemy heroes.

Io's attack speed and movement speed boost through Overcharge and Tether massively increases Spirit Breaker's damage output through his Greater Bash on right clicks, which procs more often with the attack speed gain. Io can also time his Tether to jump to a Charging Spirit Breaker and move with him across the map to an enemy hero and burst them down with their collective damage.

Spirit Breaker initiation through Charge of Darkness and front line ability is the perfect combination for Kez to play as a follow up hero and do massive damage to stunned enemy heroes and finish them off quickly. Kez's high mobility easily lets him catch up to targets Charged by Spirit Breaker.

Spirit Breaker's global initiation through Charge of Darkness enables Leshrac's aggression even more in the laning stage. Most enemy heroes facing Leshrac are always on low HP because of his aggression and damage, which lets Spirit Breaker Charge them and lock them down, letting Leshrac finish them off easily. Spirit Breaker also acts as a meat shield for a squishy Leshrac throughout the game to let him through his spells and right clicks freely in fights.

Spirit Breaker makes for the perfect vehicle for Lifestealer with his Infest as Charge of Darkness lands him right next to an enemy hero when he comes out for the Infest bomb, letting him follow up with his right clicks and Open Wounds immediately onto his target.

Spirit Breaker's global initiation through Charge of Darkness is perfect for Lina to constantly find kills on the map with her low cooldown, high damage spells. This works particularly well in the laning stage as most enemy heroes against Lina remain low HP, making for easy kills when Charged. Spirit Breaker also acts as a meat shield for Lina the entire game to let her have a free time landing spells and throw right clicks in fights.

Spirit Breaker's Charge of Darkness gives him a global presence to join Monkey King anywhere on the map as he finds enemy heroes with Tree Dance while staying hidden on top of trees. This enables both heroes to pick off enemy heroes with their collective damage and lockdown.

Spirit Breaker acts as a meat shield for a squishy Nature's Prophet throughout the game, and locks down enemy heroes with Charge of Darkness and Nether Strike so Nature's Prophet can hit them freely with his right clicks. The global catch of Charge of Darkness and Teleportation lets Spirit Breaker and Nature's Prophet back each other up when either hero looks to gank an enemy hero, boosting the kill threat of both heroes.

Spirit Breaker's global initiation through Charge of Darkness is perfect for Puck to constantly find kills on the map with her low cooldown, high damage spells. This works particularly well in the laning stage as most enemy heroes against Puck remain low HP, making for easy kills when Charged. Spirit Breaker also acts as a meat shield for Puck the entire game to let her have a free time landing spells and throw right clicks in fights.

Queen of Pain's aggression through Scream of Pain and Blink as well as her poke through Shadow Strike gives her a kill threat in most matchups at mid lane. Spirit Breaker enables her kill potential even more with his global initiation through Charge of Darkness to provide easy kills for Queen of Pain with her damage spells. Spirit Breaker also acts as a meat shield for a squishy Queen of Pain and sets up kills with Nether Strike after Charge of Darkness throughout the game.

Spirit Breaker gets an initiation boost through Snapfire's Firesnap Cookie in the laning stage to land next to enemy heroes, and right clicking them for Greater Bash procs while they are stunned. This lets him have much more versatility with Charge of Darkness usage. Later in the game, Snapfire's long range burst damage through Mortimer Kisses lets her finish off enemy heroes locked down by Spirit Breaker's Charge of Darkness and follow up spells and right clicks.

Spirit Breaker sets up kills on a squishy Anti Mage with Charge of Darkness to stun him and get on top of him as it can practically never be reflected by Counterspell. If Anti Mage Blinks too early to try and get away, Charge lets Spirit Breaker just follow him, making for an easy kill with a follow up Nether Strike and Greater Bash on right clicks. Spirit Breaker's low mana pool also makes him less susceptible to get bursted by Mana Void, while his Greater Bash still procs on right clicks even if he has zero mana because of Mana Break.

Beastmaster can practically never lock down and kill Spirit Breaker with Primal Roar because of Bulldoze's status resistance, which massively reduces the stun duration and practically wastes the ultimate. Spirit Breaker's Charge of Darkness initiation and follow up lockdown also sets up kills on Beastmaster, while also killing his Call of the Wild Boars and Hawks if the Charge goes through them.

Spirit Breaker with a Dust of Appearance sets up easy kills on a squishy Clinkz throughout the game with his Charge of Darkness as Clinkz has no way of stopping its collision. As long as Spirit Breaker Charged him beforehand, he still maintains vision of Clinkz even when he becomes invisible with Skeleton Walk. This lets Spirit Breaker's entire team follow Clinkz's movement to finish him off once the Charge connects on him.

Legion Commander can practically never lock down and kill Spirit Breaker during Duel because of Bulldoze's status resistance, which massively reduces its duration and practically wastes the ultimate. Spirit Breaker's Charge of Darkness initiation and follow up lockdown also sets up kills on Legion Commander, who has no way of stopping its collision.

Spirit Breaker counters the split push strategy of Nature's Prophet with his global Charge of Darkness to find and kill him every time he shows on the map to clear creep waves. The lockdown from Nether Strike and Greater Bash easily stops Nature's Prophet from Teleporting away. Charge of Darkness also allows Spirit Breaker to get away when trapped inside the Sprout trees.

Spirit Breaker sets up easy kills on a squishy Shadow Fiend throughout the game with his Charge of Darkness as Shadow Fiend has no way of stopping its collision. This is particularly useful in the laning stage for Spirit Breaker to keep ganking Shadow Fiend and killing him over and over to slow down his game, while snowballing himself with the gold and experience. On most occasions, Spirit Breaker must have a mid laner who can deal damage to finish off Shadow Fiend while he is locked down.

Spirit Breaker sets up easy kills on a squishy Silencer throughout the game with his Charge of Darkness as Silencer has no way of stopping its collision. Spirit Breaker's Charge of Darkness does not stop mid way from Silencer's Global Silence or Last Word silence spells. Spirit Breaker's Greater Bash can also proc on right clicks when silenced by Silencer's spells. The Bulldoze status resistance also reduces the duration of all of Silencer's spells.

Spirit Breaker sets up easy kills on a squishy Skywrath Mage throughout the game with his Charge of Darkness as Skywrath Mage has no way of stopping its collision. The Bulldoze status resistance also reduces the duration of the Ancient Seal silence, the Concussive Shot slow, and the Rod of Atos root once Skywrath Mage has the item. This lets Spirit Breaker avoid getting bursted by Skywrath Mage's spell combo, along with his high HP pool.

Spirit Breaker sets up easy kills on a squishy Sniper throughout the game with his Charge of Darkness as Sniper has no way of stopping its collision. This is particularly useful in the laning stage for Spirit Breaker to keep ganking Sniper and killing him over and over to slow down his game, while snowballing himself with the gold and experience. On most occasions, Spirit Breaker must have a mid laner who can deal damage to finish off Sniper while he is locked down.

Spirit Breaker sets up easy kills on a squishy Tinker throughout the game with his Charge of Darkness as Tinker has no way of stopping its collision. Charge of Darkness also follows Tinker where ever he Teleports with Keen Conveyance to get on top of him, and can always be stopped manually to avoid going into Tinker's base.

Spirit Breaker with a Dust of Appearance sets up easy kills on a squishy Weaver throughout the game with his Charge of Darkness as Weaver has no way of stopping its collision. As long as Spirit Breaker Charged him beforehand, he still maintains vision of Weaver even when he becomes invisible with Shukuchi. This lets Spirit Breaker's entire team follow Weaver's movement to finish him off once the Charge connects on him.

Spirit Breaker sets up easy kills on a squishy Winter Wyvern throughout the game with his Charge of Darkness as she can only stop it with Winter's Curse, which wastes a long cooldown ultimate as its duration gets massively reduced by Bulldoze's status resistance. Spirit Breaker's spells and Greater Bash procs on right clicks also do magical damage, which pierces the physical damage immunity during Cold Embrace.

Spirit Breaker can never connect the Charge of Darkness on Clockwerk as long as he has Power Cogs off cooldown, as he can easily put them down before Spirit Breaker reaches him to push him away. Clockwerk's Battery Assault, Power Cogs, and Hookshot lockdown all stop Spirit Breaker from Charging away from him as well. The mana burn from Power Cogs also massively affects Spirit Breaker because of his low mana pool, and can render him unable to use his entire spell combo.

Dark Willow's Bramble Maze massively counters Spirit Breaker's Charge of Darkness as it stops the Charge mid way if any of the Brambles fall in the Charge path. This makes it extremely difficult for Spirit Breaker to Charge in and out of fights as long as Dark Willow puts down her Bramble Maze. Dark Willow can also pop Shadow Realm before Spirit Breaker's Charge connects on her to stop him from following up with Nether Strike or his Greater Bash right clicks. Cursed Crown and Terrorize also let Dark Willow interrupt Charge of Darkness.

Ember Spirit has an easy time dodging the Charge of Darkness collision by timing his Sleight of Fist on a cluster of units when Charge is about to connect on him. If Ember Spirit doesn't have units for Sleight of Fist around him, he can still use Sleight of Fist into Searing Chains on Spirit Breaker from range to stop the Charge mid way to stop him from getting in and out of fights. Flame Guard also absorbs damage from Spirit Breaker's spells and Greater Bash procs while jumping to Fire Remnants keeps Ember Spirit safe from ever dying.

Enigma's instant stun from Malefice lets him easily stop Spirit Breaker from Charging at him, or away from fights, by interrupting the spell. Spirit Breaker also has a difficult time interrupting Black Hole through Charge of Darkness or Nether Strike without getting caught in the AoE himself. Enigma's Eidolons also have high magic resistance, which keeps them safe from dying to the Charge collision.

Invoker has multiple ways of stopping Spirit Breaker's Charge to ensure he does not connect with his spell. Spirit Breaker can practically never cast his ultimate when affected by Cold Snap as it gets interrupted by damage instances. The slow from Ice Wall also doesn't let Spirit Breaker Charge away or into fights. Invoker's Tornado also dispels Bulldoze, which is Spirit Breaker's main survival tool.

Medusa's mana pool, which is effectively her HP pool, doesn't take a massive hit from Spirit Breaker's Charge of Darkness into Nether Strike combo, and keeps her safe from ever being threatened by the lockdown. Medusa can also pop Stone Gaze while Spirit Breaker is Charging towards her, which slows him down and turns him to stone if he gets too close. Once Medusa gets Aghanim's Shard, Spirit Breaker can never Charge at her as doing so will reflect a Mystic Snake towards him, which turns him to stone and interrupts the Charge.

Morphling loves to Morph into Spirit Breaker to use his Bulldoze for the status resistance in fights, which makes him practically impossible to get bursted down. The Morphed Charge of Darkness also gives Morphling an initiation and lockdown tool to get on top of an enemy hero and burst them down with his massive damage through spells and right clicks. Morphling can also time his Waveform and use it in Spirit Breaker's Charge direction when it is about to connect to avoid getting stunned.

Despite her squishy nature, Puck remains safe from Spirit Breaker's ganks in the laning stage as a well timed Phase Shift lets her dodge the collision lockdown and damage. Puck can easily follow up with the Waning Rift silence to stop Spirit Breaker's Nether Strike usage, and create distance between herself and him by Jaunting to her Illusory Orb. Puck's Dream Coil also leashes Spirit Breaker and stops him from Charging in and out of fights, although he can break the link for a low duration stun by using Bulldoze.

Rubick's instant lift from Telekinesis lets him easily stop Spirit Breaker from Charging at him, or away from fights, by interrupting the spell. Rubick can also land Spirit Breaker away from himself to avoid Nether Strike as well because of its low cast range. Rubick also loves to Steal Charge of Darkness to get himself a mobility and initiation tool that also lets him farm creeps along with Fade Bolt.

Shadow Demon's instant banish from Disruption lets him easily stop Spirit Breaker from Charging at him, or away from fights, by interrupting the spell. Shadow Demon's Demonic Purge also dispels Bulldoze, and massively slows down Spirit Breaker's movement speed during his Charge to practically keep him stuck in place.

Storm Spirit's Ball Lightning lets him easily dodge the Charge of Darkness lockdown and damage by timing his spell in Spirit Breaker's Charge direction when it is about to connect. Storm Spirit can just as easily Ball Lightning away afterwards to create distance between himself and Spirit Breaker, or use his burst damage and lockdown to turn the fight.

Pit of Malice is amazing at interrupting Spirit Breaker's Charge, which is his core spell and additionally prevents him from using his Nether Strike for the root's duration, crippling his presence in fights significantly. The Status Resistance from Bulldoze greatly compresses the damage from Firestorm within it's reduced duration but does not reduce the total amount, making it less of a damage over time interaction and more into a nuke.
